Comparing the 383 with 325HP and the 335 HP that came in the Road Runner is like the old adage of apples to oranges. The 335 had the 440 heads, a bigger cam and better exhaust manifolds. With all that going for it you think the gain was only 10 HP? My 68 RR beat a 427 Chevy and made me a happy Mopar owner.

I don't believe it's just "conventional wisdom".

There are probably 50 reasons not to believe the 67 A body 383 manifolds actually lost 45 hp compared to the 67 B body 383's log manifolds. I'm not gonna hijack this thread to set them out now, but in the next day or two I'll start a thread of my own in the big block A forum.

I don't believe nor did I say that they lost 45 hp. I stated that they were miserably restrictive. You disputed that.
