Anyone heard of ICE Ignition?
Aussiespeed has an ignition kit listed with a billet distributor for slant 6. Companies website says there are 16 preprogrammed spark curves. Has vacuum advance through MAP sensor.

Slant 6 225 performance ignition kit for non forced induction ICE. With rev limiter | Aussiespeed Street & Racing Products Australia

Looks like if anything gets made for our motors it's down under these days. Let them know we want a cylinder head, ha!

Aussie is better than Chineseium ever will be

What in the WORLD would somebody need with THAT?

I basically traded about $50 worth of parts for it, NIB, about 10 years ago, time to try it.

ICE has a good reputation for good stuff. With the current $AU/$US exchange rate, should be a good deal.

What I found interesting was that a distributor was made, not the kit in particular. A lot of the EFI kits these days will run off of a Hall effect distributor which this one is.

One of the guys on the .org converted a Chevy distributor for that reason.

How hard is it to find a slant distributor without excessive endplay? Not many people out there with the knowledge to repair a wore out one and NOS examples are getting rarer and rarer.

I like that it's available. That's good. But not everybody needs that high dollar kinda stuff. Doesn't anybody know how to rebuild stuff anymore? Everybody just wants to get the checkbook out. That's cool too I guess, if you can do that kinda thing.

I'm a grumpy old man, and this is likely my last build. I've been trading, and swapping, and buying parts on sale from Summit, Jegs, and members here. The block is in my speed shop(Yeah, I still like that term), I have 13 years worth of parts while I worked second shift, while my wife and I raised two fine sons. I bought this from Summit about 10-12 years ago. I like the stand alone capability, I like the digital
DIP switches. I like the lock out at start capability, and I really like the rev limiter. RRR, you'd try one if it fell in your lap.

Absolutely I would, but that ain't happenin.

Be careful what you wish for......

Ha! Did you see the distributor I just rebuilt? That's what I have to do. I've always done it. I'll always have to do it. It's downright stupefying what I've managed to do over the years with a dirt road budget. It's all I've ever known.

And yet you're still one of the smartest dirt road mechanics I've had the pleasure of conversing with. Thanks Georgia, from OLD central Florida.

Thank you. I appreciate that more than you know.

That means I get a free accidental insult, right? Just kidding. I respect you for speaking your mind, your common sense, and your smartassibilty.(I'll try to sneak that one through). I don't always agree with you, but I'll at least listen. Keep pluggin'

I have all the NOS parts needed to rebuild them, End play should be easy to take care of.

I'm just pokin' some old Southern fun at you. I actually listen to your advice. You seem to have some common sense, I respect that. Enough blowing smoke up your skirt, let's get back to saving some old Mopars.
