Engine, rear end and cherry picker…. Anybody know a company that would transport these three items from San Jose California to Camden South Carolina? Recommendations anyone? As always appreciate any help Hambony58
I’ve used Fastenal and uship and have good results with both. With uship you get bids from several companies some small one truck guys. That are willing to negotiate at times also. I wish you the best.
I’ll second uShip (and others that offer that service) as an option. With your exact dimensions and weight after it’s packaged, and date(s) when it can be picked up, or you can drop off at a terminal, you’ll get quotes. Forward Air is an option. There are a ton of options, big to small operations, that would be impossible to find on your own. Any LTL company will be pricey, you can get a quote but prepare to be shocked at the cost.
There’s a member here who is very knowledgeable in transport who does a lot of hauling of seemingly anything under the sun. I forget his name. He may have some good insight and advice regarding better companies, brokers etc, and what best to do in your case
I use YRC freight. I have used them several times. If you are willing to put everything on a pallet and drop it off at the closest terminal, then have the recipient pick it up at a terminal closest to them, it is very reasonable. But you have to do it all on line. I just shipped a boxed crated 200 lbs to Iowa from Tampa Fl. Cost $ 124.00
