I'm wanting to ditch my OLD low hanging headers, are these manifolds worth it?

You could source a Magnum manifold off an early Jeep Grand Cherokee for the right side locally. If it has the big 2 1/8" outlet, they say it flows as well as a right HP manifold. And that is the hard to find (i.e. expensive) one too.

Left side you need any HP manifold for an A-Body. The Magnum one's have been made to fit but I don't believe it is a good fit.

That said, if you can grab the linked above manifolds then I would do so. That really is a good deal.

Whether you notice it or not will also depend on your gearing and stall.
But, if your cam has an idle lope, then it is probably at least as big as the stock 340 cam. That cam had only 44* of overlap, yet in stock form, headers seriously woke up a 340.
Log manifolds will kill the overlap, in addition to killing the inertial tuning.
But if yur running 3.23s, you won't hardly notice it until close to 60 mph in Second gear. Well except for if you don't have a hi-stall, then it will get doggie off the line, too.

I did the same thing on my 360. Got rid of the ground dragging hooker headers. Took them off with a sawzall and enjoyed it. Replaced them with a set of 72 340 manifolds. They are much cheaper than the 68-70. Bought a dual exhaust from Waldron, pretty reasonable. You have to match the head pipes to the manifolds. Turned out great.
