Drivers/Racers - 4 Speed Driving Lesson Required

-
1st driving lesson needed Burnout - I've never done a brake stand with a manual. Automatic is easy. Do I just rev it and drop the clutch in 1st gear? If so, what kind of rpm am I starting at?

2nd driving lesson needed Speed - Is there an optimal shifting rpm to get the most speed out of this ? As I said earlier my trained ear hears a screaming engine after 2500 rpm and I want to shift but then I read of max HP at 4000 and 4500 rpm ranges.
Shifting at 2500 on a stock engine is a little low but not bad. A 4000 or 4500 rpm redline is for stock engines and that is only because it stops making any more upward going HP.

1: Burnout, reg engine to 5-5500k, move your left foot to the left but never lift it up. The clutch pedal will slam up and engage the clutch and presto, you’ll be spinning tires. Move your left foot to the brake pedal on a ASAP basis to lock the front tires up so you can sit and spin the tires in the street or water box. A water box takes less of a rpm clutch dump.
A line lock should be used.

2: Shift point. Need cam specs or Dyno sheet to best start you off. Since nether is posted, shift every year @ 5,000. See what the slip says. Then try shifting every gear at 5,500. If you went faster, try another 500 rpm before shifting. Repeat….

That ought to get you off to a good start.
