Pro Stock. Then and now

-
Say it what it is. The "BAD BOYS" of today are "Keith Black" Hemi motors, perfecting the Mopar ones. I'm far from an expert on this, but I would bet, they are not 426's. 10,000 HP is a lot of ponies.
500 cubic inches. Sure, they are all aftermarket blocks and parts, but they are based off the classic 426. Calling them anything but a Hemi doesn't make much sense.

Have Pro Stock run clutch with manual 5 speed transmissions so we know who the real drivers are, run the engines weight to cubic inches using engines available in production cars (No second generation Hemis in Challengers) so we find out who can build engines and bring back templates so the bodies look like they belong in real cars (Don't we already have a class called Funny Car).

I am going to surmise that this new A/FX class is just going to be another Camaro class just like Pro Stock and Factory Stock. If a Mopar wins NHRA will throw sanctions against them till they can just barely compete but not win. The Fords will get the same treatment if they win against the Chevys to many times. It's funny how NHRA loves the Mopar sponsorship money but still won't let them compete.

Kinda like they did in FS with the Drag pack cars.
