This guy has a pretty cool channel. Simple, but effective shop press upgrades. Some are very easy to do.

That’s definitely the Imperial of shop presses and a damn nice rack Ann Margret has RX3.

$1000 worth of mods on a $200 press. Noted.
The light is a good idea. The laser-engraved, high-precision press plate? One little ding and that center is locked in there, and if he don't know where the ram is coming down, he ought not be using a press.

How's this for a badass arbor/hydraulic press?
Yeah I’d say he’s probably got at least $1k in mods to that HF press. I’ve got the same press, although I’m not sure I use it enough to warrant spending all that much time on modifying it like that.
That said, the stubby jack handle and release knobs are a great idea and those would be easy to make with stuff I already have. That work tray wouldn’t be too hard either. The base plate is just way over the top. It’s not a bad idea, just his execution is overkill. Heck that plate is worth more than the press by itself.
