please please i need all help i can get, drive train mopar chrysler 8.25 27 spline 10 bolt gears

have question. i have a 23t bucket with a chrysler rear end housing number 2852905 having trouble finding right parts for. it has a chrysler housing number 2852905. says its a 8.25 with 10 bolt 27 spline. has a 271 gear . i am wanting a 373 or hair higher. i ordered the gear and pinion and master install kit and new kit came with pinion that has a lip on it that old one doesnt. the old crush sleeve will not fit new one. the new crush sleeve in kit is only half inch long the old one is 3 inches long. every thing i look at looks nothing like i have. my ring and pinion and carrier are all year stamped 1969. plz help also need a posi unit. im looking to buy all new! part number on original pinion is 2852929, old ring gear is 2852928, carrier is 2852907. i want something around a 373 or bit higher so can light up tires the 271 makes it almost impossible. and the 271 gear is open carrier with one wheel peel. like i said just new pinion i ordered is a 373 from elite. and it comes with alot smaller crush sleeve. and bearing sizes look differednt old sleeve will not fit around it either and new pinion has a lip towards the top that old one doesnt. i didnt know if bearings make up the difference and will work in my housing or not but to me just looks like its wrong. kit says fit 8.25 chrysler 27 spline 10 bolt 73 to 2004 so now that i got mine out and seen stamed 1969. i am wondering if there is a diff between the 69 to 75 stuff versus the 76 to 2004 stuff someone plz help

Check with Dr. Diff for rear gears.

Can you show a picture of the new crush sleeve? Are you sure its a crush sleeve and not a crush eliminator?

Do we know that it is really an 8.25????

I know the PN says so. But... We're there diferent versions of 8.25 like the 741, 742, 489 8 3/4?

Yes. The earlier years are 27 spline and the later are 29 spline. I believe the year change you listed is correct.
I am not an expert so others can chime in on other differences but you will need the early kit.
I bought the Motive kit and the inner bearings were wrong. Had to get the PN off of the bearings I was replacing
but Napa had them in stock. Use timkins!!!!! I agree with others. Call Dr Diff.

i dont know i ran number say 69 to 70 b cars and 8.25 27 spline and i measured the ring gear and measures 8.2

The new gears and crush collar are a different style. The old crush sleeve actually was between the bearings. The new 1/2" collar just sits on the step in the stem.
