Enclosed Trailer Vehicle Tie-downs

I purchased a used enclosed trailer a few weeks ago which the previous owner was using for transporting dirt bikes. I plan to tow my cars in it soon, but there is currently only 4 D-rings for securing the load.

I'm thinking of installing E-tracks or D-rings, but I wanted to get suggestions from those here that have experience with either. Thank you in advance for your inputs.

My enclosed just has self contained D rings (carriage bolt in each corner) with four bolts. The floor is cut out for a flush fit and a piece of 3/16" plate steel is under the floor supporting as a backing for the bolts. Never a problem.

Track width worked perfect being outside wheel width so that one side of the tracks screws are into the trailer frame, not just the wood floor. The other sides are into each x member.

We installed E track in my brothers TPD stacker. Grade 8 bolts every 4 inches with large fender washers on the underside and silicone. Around the spots that are really used for the tie down area the bolts are it at 2 inches. This way the load is spread out, not concentrated to a spot like the flip up eyes..

i think id like to have tracks in there, specially of you change loads occasionally
 
A few better shots of how the tire straps hook up. Nice thing is all you have to do is loosen the ratchet off and then lift the "hoop" off the tire and set it to the side and drive out. Drive in, flip the hoop over the tires and tighten the ratchet back up.

I have been hauling cars for 35 years and all you need are the 4 tie down spots that all car hauler enclosed trailers have, e-track is nice but overkill for any regular production car. A good set of Macs tie-downs with axle straps is all you need...
