Has any of or members used one ?
Or bought one ?
Where can one be bought if at all possible?
I may have to cut two fenders up to make one .

Again thanks to all the members here.

Well !! That answers that question to the hilt Rusty, thank you sir
Looks like I am going to make one good solid fender out of two using my gasles wire welder and put my old body skills back to work. :steering:

Looks like a new thread will be started in the next couple weeks of my Hillbilly/native American skills

Thank you once again RustyRatRod :thankyou:

Now GlassTek might not be the only option. That's just the first that popped up.

Are you patching header holes? From what I have seen of fiberglass, I would patch the steel ones. A buddy used glass fenders and hood on his notchback. It turned out very nice but it took him 3x the work to make it so and after 5 years of not much driving, he is getting crackin in places.

No Mike, going to cut the bottom rocker area off one fender and pit it on another fender to make a solid fender.

And those patch panels for early A’s fit very nice and are as thick as OEM steel. I used them on both sides on my 65 Dart
Yes they are. My body guys were even impressed. I used the lower 1/4 and wheel arch panels.

Mike, I can’t remember when seeing your car where the bad area is or what needed to be fixed. If just the lower section has rust, use a lower patch from Laysons...order it through FABO member Rick@laysons. Or if you want I’ll locate a good fender for you but shipping might be spendy. I had a fender shipped from CA by Greyhound to a station near me and it was super cheap, like $30 but that was 15+ years ago and not sure if they do that anymore. I would stick with a steel one...better in the long run

I bought some rust-free fenders out of Colorado and shipped thru Greyhound. Price was very reasonable. Worst part of it was, Greyhound put more miles on the fenders riding them back and forth all over the country than they had on them by their original car!
