BD, you’re still on the road? Thought you were hanging up the boots years ago? How many miles on that rig?

We're supposed to get between 12 and 18 inches of snow here in the mountains of NC. I live about a mile from exit 44 on I-40. I've got the tractor ready to push snow, fridge and pantry full, 4 pallets of firewood on the porch and a new insulated box with a blanket in it for the neighborhood kitty that sleeps on our porch every night. Jim "It's the end of the world" Cantore is in town, so it must gonna be really bad! Phhht! Let it snow! :D

A lot of us with low pitched car port or steel pole buildings suffered property damage in Texas last year ya'll. Mine only had a couple of inches of snow on it when it rained and turned to ice. It was toe bolted to the house and garage on two sides and held up by 5 3x steel uprights on the other two. The 6 inch purlins were beginning to buckle in the middle so I jammed a couple steel fence posts under there with bottle and scissor jacks, then cut holes in the sheets to drain what became a swimming pool up there. It didn't come all the way down but others weren't so lucky.
All to say, keep an eye on those structures down here! They apparently ain't built for snow loads.
