mechanical temp gauge location

That's what we did with our 67. We didn't trust 50+ year old gauges. Left stock ones in(rally gauge) and mounted new Autometer triple gauges(volts, coolant, and oil psi) directly above console and attached thru existing bolt to factory ac diffuser. All apart right now but looks great and NOT put of place.
I would be interested to see your setup. I want to have my dash gauge work but in my attempt for a "70s" theme hot rod I kind of feel the gauge pod under the ashtray area is kind of a nod. Ill be running those stewart warner 'greenline' jobbies, Ill also put my air/fuel ratio gauge in there.

Here is mine. I turned the sender on the hose to the bottom so it doesn’t show so much. It is a mechanical temp gauge.

Would love to see a graph of that if you can get that from your efi.

No EFI on mine, all I can see is the gauge movement. When the car is warming up the factory gauge comes up slowly, the aftermarket one stays on zero. When the thermostat opens, the aftermarket one blasts up to 180 in a couple seconds. Depending on the temp outside, the aftermarket gauge seems to cycle from about 175 to 190. I don’t know how accurate it is, but seems reasonably close as I have a 180 t stat.

I like the simplicity of just have two gauges. Im debating as right now I have 4 possible. air/fuel, temp, oil, and voltage. Looking at yours I may have to rely on my gutted ammeter with volt gauge in it to do that job. Although the 'wizard', from the sniper has air/fuel, I dont want to have to refer to a little digital screen while driving. So, at least Id be down to three. I got pods for them to slightly angle them towards driver. We will see what happens.

Thanks for the pics, it really helps.
