Went and picked an 8.75 for $75 from an A-100. Wanted brakes from it and I cut the housings down to A body width but when I pulled it apart to my luck it had a sure grip with 3.91 gears. Good score

Parts are still very cheap when you don't buy from online or parts flippers. But this was a good one for sure!

Fortunately I have many cars that I can use it in!
I know the feeling, I pulled ab ebody 8 3/4 from a wrecking yard, and when I got it home, clutch type sure grip. I sold the parts for about what I paid for the whole thing. Keeping the center section for me. Only down side. 2.76 gears!

I haven’t seen a deal like that for forty years, does it have the small pinion center?
Now you can sell the shafts to a guy with an E-Body. There's only like a 1/32 difference on length.

Very unlikely with how rusty it was and i mean rusty. Van is sold that's why I rushed to get rear bought
