What color would you say this is?

agree. and it could be any number or oranges.

whats it look like out in the sun?

best bet is probably to get ahold of a color map book and see what is as close as possible.
As mentioned, just take it to a good paint store, have them scan it with a paint gun and match it. This IS 2022 after all. lol

The beauty of the paint match "gun" is that it accounts for faded, poor condition, or a previous non-standard mix.

My local shop has been 100% dead on for me on hard to match YY1 and JY3 plus faded non-standard EW1.

...and their matching "expert" is an 18 year old kid with dreadlocks!

  • Paint guns. Check.
  • Flying cars. No check.
Not cool man. Not cool.

I agree have a auto paint store scan the paint for the code. As someone mentioned lighting does change the color. My 69' R4 Bright Red looks brown under street lighting (sodium - vapor). Go mango is the Dodge name for vitamin C, Plymouth. I think someone tried to match a chip and is off a little. Go back to my first sentence.

If anyone is curious this is what a color camera looks like. They are all fairly similar.

I agree a good paint store can color match your paint perfectly. Had my local shop match the red on my hood for the engine compartment $20 a can the match was exact.
