Asked some people what they thought the ‘68 Dodge Dart GT vert was worth at a car show recently. Gotta say I was pretty shocked by the values. I know inflation is rampant but, this felt like B-body territory. I have done a quite a bit to it since the junkyard but, it’s still pretty ratty. 318 magnum, ported heads, Eddie intake and carb, 727, 8.8 rear with 4.10 LSD, all new front suspension and disc brakes on all 4 corners.

67 and up A body convertibles are few and far between at this point and with your upgrades I'm not surprised.

Hey @slimjim have you made a pass since I twisted on the carb screws and you fixed the throttle pressure linkage at duct tape drags?

Hey Mike! I’m actually headed to Barona on the 18th with a bunch of other mopar guys. This will be the first pass since Duct Tape. If you’ve got the time, come on down and bring that boosted 5.9

Man I really like the atmosphere at Barona, It’s a lot like Irwindale. Maybe I’ll make the trip down just to hang out but the TT5.9 magnum is still on a run stand waiting for the car to be finished, so that won’t make it. I’ll check the schedule and maybe make the trip.

Dart convertibles are always gonna get a premium, especially running and driving. Last time I was at Barona was with our Super Stock Demon...

Don't ever be ashamed of a project car at a car show!

I laugh at the trailer queens, I get 1000 percent more enjoyment out of my 67 Dart Convertible in it's "as my dad last drove it" condition.

A buddy and I just picked up a 67 dart convert, unfortunately it was well picked over BUT 98% of the GT trim was there and in good shape.

Minimum rust!

We have a number of parts cars (mostly barracudas)

It will be back on the road in the next year or two.

BTW, sold my 68 Dart GT convertible for $12.5K 20 years ago, still miss it everyday. 360 crate dressed up as a 340 and cold factory A/C. Saw that it went overseas a few years ago for $24.5K and nothing had been changed including the original paint...

IMHO the guys saying 12 to 25k as is are overpricing it. Look at ebay and other places selling dart gt converts in relitivly restored condition get that.

No offence ment but I think the value as is in the 4 to 6k range, mostly because it can be driven and alot of the unobtainium parts are there.

If you ever find your way to the Denver area hit me up. Between my budy and me we have 5 - 67 dart convertibles 3 are drivable 2 are in the works.

That looks gorgeous. I can easily see that listed for 30k over here in CA

@slimjim what wrecking yard did you find it in?

And by the way we'll done on your production quality of your videos.

First off I got to say VERY COOL CAR. I’d own it and cherish it till I drop.

Old cars report price guide lists #4 car $4950 and #5 car $2970. Probably somewhere between those two as it has no interior stuff.

But what it’s really worth is what any of those 8 guys are pulling greenbacks out of their pockets and putting them into yours.

I pulled it out of a yard in Otay Mesa. They have a few classics still back there but, no Mopars to my knowledge. They usually bring in fresh cars every quarter

Otay Mesa
That's out there!

I was for most of my life in Orange County and spending my time in Santa Ana at the wrecking yards there.

Great find and I'm glad your saving it.

Do you have the OEM rear glass for the top?

The way to id it, is it's not flat and has a curve to the top and bottom.

If you do have the OEM glass and are not going to reuse it I might be intrested.

Pm me if you want to get rid of it.
