Good evening Mopar performance Gurus!
Question for the group... I am swapping over from my Holley Pro Dominator tunnel ram/dual 850 carb setup to a single carb setup using a Dominic Thumper built 1050ish Dominator. I have a Mopar Performance M1 big runner W5 intake and a Indy 360 rectangular port intake. Both have been port matched to my W5 heads and have been mildly blended in the runners and matched to my carb spacer. My problem is I don't know which one to use. I've mocked up both on the Arrow and both will work. In the learned opinion of my fellow enthusiasts here, which one would provide the best performance?

Basic info on my setup.. 340 X block with 4.010 bore, 4.00 stroke. 13 to 1 compression, W5 blue plug heads that have been fully ported. Bullet solid roller with .685/.682 lift, .275/.284 installed at 104.
6000 spragless converter, powerglide, 4.31 gear. Will be doing mostly 1/8th mile racing with occasional 1/4 races.

My vote is for the Indy.

I was considering running a set of W5’s. I was working with Ryan at Shady Dell. He preferred the Indy versus the large port M1 based on his experience with these two manifolds.

The purpose of my post was to seek advice from anyone who have had experience running these manifolds. While I appreciate those who have responded, please no guess work. I can make a guess on my own. I'm looking for real world data on how these manifolds perform compared to each other.

No experience with either but you have a 13:1, 400inch engine. I’d pour both intakes and use the one with more plenum volume.

No experience with M1 but several years ago I looked at a complete but apart 390ish inch W5 headed engine. It had a heavily welded W2 intake on it. When I asked why, the owner said his builder didn’t like any of the W5 intakes.

My Indy headed 434 has an Indy intake.

it kind of stinks. Only 3 intakes by MoPar, the standard, LP & TR.

The Mopar W5 intakes lag behind the Indy. Any serious W5 deal, that is the best choice.
I have ran both that and a Brett Miller modded Victor W2.
The small port Mopar is better than the large port. But neither would be my choice over an Indy.
Indy has a large plenum
