Especially @DentalDart for recommending that I address a rear molar (top) that needed a root canal or pulled. Retired with almost no dental insurance it would have cost approximately 2000.00 to do a root canal and replace the cap. I was putting it off because the pain was not that bad. Several members said don’t put it off but @DentalDart went further and private messaged me to get it out or fixed. I was recommended a local dentist by several people that was in my old home town. I was quoted 200.00 to pull it and my appointment was a 10:45 this morning. He did a fantastic job and I was back home (7-8 miles away) at 12:00. Thanks again for the push to get it addressed. Ohhh it was 165.00 or 35.00 cheaper than quoted.

sorry you had to have it pulled but better than it getting infected and dealing with that...I procrastinated a bit to long
thumbs up for the advice given and local dentist giving you a deal. coulds traded some head porting...:lol:

I just had to have a root canal done a couple of weeks ago, but I'm lucky as my military retirement covers most of the cost. But then I had to go see my regular dentist to have the temporary filling replaced with a permanent one... simple right? but nooooooooo! My regular guy says there's some decay under that cap that needs to be addressed so off comes the cap, cavity repaired, and temporary cap put in place. I have to wait til July to have a permanent cap installed, unless I want to pay it all out of pocket. Ain't it great!

Ah, the good ol' military plan.
You don't defer maintenance on equipment, but if Joe needs something fixed, get in line.

Tooth pain is the worst. You’ll start feeling better. Your body will get to quit fighting a long lurking infection.

Sorry I’m late to reply, I’ve had a crazy couple of months.

Thanks again for pushing me to get it addressed. The pain was never severe but did fire up a little bit after my last 6 month checkup and cleaning.

You know what's funny??

And I'm just as bad as every one else!

We'll gladly spend thousands on our favorite Mopar but second guess spending money on our health.

Car gets restored before we do, LOL !!

:lol::lol:

Don’t suck, on straws that is for at least a week. You don’t want a dry socket.
