A Tuesday off now and then is good for the spirit
I'm retired but the extra income from working part time is nice.
I have a 63 Plymouth Fury convertible coming into my shop sometime this summer To get ready for paint so I won't be working part time in the Bodyshop anymore, I think.

For what?
It has been building for some time now, I have admittedly not been wearing the supplied "safety vest" at all times while in the building. I admit that I should have been, and in fact have been for the last couple of weeks. Lately, the manager has been becoming more and more passive aggressive in his behavior, and I'm on the receiving end as I don't take any of his bullshit. He has been attempting to circumvent the seniority policy of the union when making work assignments, favoring his new "buddy", and I have called him out on it.

I have been reprimanded regarding wearing the vest, and I accept that, and have been wearing it at all times recently, but on a couple occasions when I was walking some 50 ft from my truck to the door of the building, I did not put it on. When asked why I did not have the vest on to walk that short distance, I questioned the legitimacy of that requirement, as there was no traffic in the yard at that time, and it would be nearly impossible for any vehicle to pose a threat to my safety even if there were traffic. These are the basis for his current tirade, and I believe it is nothing more than an attempt to exert some form of control.

Meanwhile, he walks around the building without any required PPE, no steel toed footwear or reflective vest, his wife will show up at various times during the day, bringing along his kids, and they will sometimes remain in the building for a couple of hours. His wife has also been hired as the building cleaner in recent months as well, and often shows up in the afternoon with one or more of the kids to begin cleaning.

I'm not looking for any sympathy, I fully accept my responsibility for my actions, and I'm not concerned about losing my job either should it progress to that point. I have never allowed anyone to use my employment as a weapon to control me and I won't start now, plenty of other employment available to an experienced commercial driver.

I hate it when a boss is an asshole and controlling. Think I'd be looking for another job that doesn't have an asshole boss.

Find and old dodge tandem snag the 413 put a 440 crank in with a set of stage 4 heads if you can find them. Have your self a max wedge Plymouth

Hey Randy that boss of yours should be brought up on the carpet especially putting his kid in jeopardy.
But like Fred said go find another job with a good boss. They're out there just have to find them..
In the meantime wear your vest and do your job and screw them all.
I don't miss that kind of bullshit at all.
I just do what my wife says and stay out of trouble lol.

So went to the Rheumatologist this morning and he was shocked when I told him about my shoulder. I showed him the pictures of the xrays. So sounds like no more cortisone for me but have to use this other synthetic version of it and not covered and it's 500 bucks but with the real cortisone it can create problems with infection.
So after I had the ekg I took the results next door to my own dr.
I have to go for a complete makeup of my heart with nuclear meds and the good old treadmill. Gotta love it.
But I'm 75 and my dr wants me in good shape. He said we have 6 or 7 parts to a heart and one section the electrical portion isn't where it should be but been like that since 2004.
He did agree that my problem is reflux though so that is a big relief.
Sucks getting old but beats the alternative as I always say

Would like to see you around a bit longer Mark so stay healthy.

Moved the AA truck around in the garage buy pushing it till I got it centered to the door. Plan on starting it soon and going for its first drive of the season. Pushing it was no big deal but turning the steering wheel took some effort.

Old bastard still runs and a lot of fun to drive.

Two things I simply cannot tolerate, passive-aggressive behavior, and micromanaging. I've been doing this type of work for most of my life, I know what the **** I'm doing, but no, they have to monitor every ******* minute of my day!

I got lots done at home today, was a really nice day, sunny, little to no wind, and 65*. Took my dogs or a good run this morning, then after lunch I pulled the Ventura out of hibernation, got my hoist set up again, finished trimming the trees in the yard that I started on Sunday, had to get a new chain for my saw, put my spare 5.0 Ford on the engine stand, and cleaned up the garage in general. Took my Thunderbird to the car wash and gave it a much needed bath, then took my wife out for dinner. Damn sight better day than I would have had at work!

Think we finally have summer.

Yes, got some nice weather here too. Got a little headache from walking into a cabinet door too. LOL
What a clutz. I was even sober. I’m surprised my eyes ain’t black. Took aspirin yesterday to no avail.

I just chugged some theraflu with acetemetaphine. Didn’t have any Tylenol. That stuff did the trick. Almost instant relief. Better living through science.

Ouch! Ever try Goodys headache powder? I hate the taste and the process, but it works FAST
