1971 Demon, FC7 Plum Crazy

are you also putting in a date coded 71 transmission, and a date coded 7.25 rear end? and correct date code radiator? i assume it'll have the factory 9" drums it came with as well?
Yes, it has the original rear, radiator and drums. I'm just shooting for correct, not specifically "date coded". For example, putting the evap/emissions system back in that was correct for 1971, and also the correct rubber floor, and AM radio.

Yesterday finished prepping the floor (welding in the seat belt mounts, rear seat brackets, and drilling 100 holes for the plug welds). The under-floor brake cable bracket is on its way in the mail and will get welded in when it arrives. (8 hours)

Today I installed the floor (8 hours). I started with welding at the firewall/floor connection and tomorrow will weld the rest of the holes. I know that both metals need to touch for best weld connections, but only about 50% of the holes are touching the other side. So it looks like I'll have to install a bunch of self-tapping sheet metal screws to pull the floor down... But funny, some of the contours of the floor don't match up with the car, so I may have to hammer down a few areas to make them touch. Maybe that's a normal problem with AMD floors....
