I'm not real good a knowing about these just by how they look.
I was told they are not cracked, but I do see some rust. Is this stuff easily removed, or not a good sign?

no those arent bad. Im not sure the value but I know if you pay to have them oven cleaned and magged at an engine shop buyers wont need to be weary of cracks and they will never know how rusty they were.

J head + 2.02 valve = the same as an X head but people pay extra for that X.

So the value would me more than a normal J head but less than an X head whatever that may be.

J's are pretty common on early 71 360 C bodys also, not just the 340 cars, I have a set of 2.02 J's that came off a 71 Fury 4 dr than had an untouched 360-2 with single exhaust, the date on the block was 10-70.

I'd guess $200 if they need work like the picture suggests they do and $600 bolt on and go.

He lives up north where the prices are a little higher. Here they would cost you $150 as is and about $450 or so finished ready to bolt on. Things are cheaper in the south but we usually make less also. The trick is to keep your outgoing payments small so you can do the tricks you see.
