Hi, everybody!

Although, at 50, I have never owned an A- or B-body Mopar, I am hoping to take the plunge this year. I remember quite fondly the Dart and Savoy my parents had in the early 60s.

But someone please tell me. How suitable are they for bigger drivers (I'm 6'3", 230 lbs.)? Looking forward to learning from you all.

Hey Brian, was it you or me that was supposed to turn out the lights when we left???LOL!! Actually, you are among a number of new members all from the SE Michigan area just in the last month. Welcome to FABO, and although the early A bodies are a little small, a Duster, Demon or 67 and later Dart should be a little roomier. Of course you could go B body and get a Savoy if you could find one, or a Roadrunner, GTX or something of the like, but that wouldn't be very A body-ish now would it!!!LOL!!! Whatever you get, by all means share your good fortune here with us, and be sure to include pictures, we love to see them. Welcome again from one Michigander to another!!! Geof

Welcome! If the Dart your parents had was a '62 it was a B body and should be big enough for you. The Savoy is also a B body. Enjoy the search!

Brian, welcome aboard! It's great to have you here with us.

My man Billy is 6'5, and though he doesn't like my aftermarket Summit racing seats at all (says they pinch his shoulders), he DOES fit in my '68 Fastback's passenger seat fairly well. Occasionally he's allowed to sit in the driver's seat and make motor noises. :-D LMAO!

Make yourself at home and enjoy this great site. You'll find everything you need right here.

Welcome from a former "Downriver Rat." Can't help ya on your size question. I'm vertically challenged at 5'4'' so I'll fit in anything small. Big stuff sometimes requires several pillows or at least a thick phone book! LOL

Whatever you decide post pics. We all LOVE pics.

Welcome.

I'm 5 foot twelve and I would recommend a 67 or up Dart/Duster/Demon with factory bucket seats. The bench seat doesn't feel to good on the hip/back on long drives.

Welcome to FABO Brian!
Find one with the buckets or get a 4 door, remove front bench, drill 4 holes 1-3" behind (AFT) where they were, seal old ones, reinstall bench, throw right arm across the back, left elbow out window and steering with same hand. There now, ya got enough room! Not much left in back but enough for small kids! or 2 coolers!!!:-D
Our 67 4 door sombody put in electric buckets from a Pathfinder! There's tons of room in there, but the back set had to have foam trimmed from back of seat cushions and cover put back on.
GOOD LUCK!8)

If you need more room just remove front bench of 4 or 2 door and just sit in the back seat and make it a 2 seater!! LOL!
