In the vid, the very first car looks like a crescent wrench came out from under it. Blow it up and chech it out, lol.
 
Yup Definetly some sort of spanner flying out from under that car.
Reminds me of years ago at the local dirt track when we were hurrying to get my buddys car out on the track for hot laps .After he pitted we pulled the hood there were several tools still sitting on the cowl .how they stayed there we never figured out !
 
Defiantly a rubber coated handled crescent wrench came flying out.
I would have liked to have seen the red winged rail reaction time :-D At 6 minutes 14 seconds in the video:clock: He nailed it at the yellow and got a good green light :cheers: Thank you for one of the coolest video's I have seen in a long time swedefish :-D

I am the old un with no hair in the picture... .Love the Viedec meeting .will be there next year looking for that 5.2

If I´m not mistaken Dave runs a Nitro TMD, it´s relly impressive with
Dave Wilson and Krister Johansson running these "natural" aspirated nitros.
Love to watch them race and they are running really fast.

Hey Swedefish come and say hello next year . Daves been running A fuel for two years now so the learning curve has been steep.We melted a few bits on the way to that 5.3 but it sure beats the old blown alki moter.Krister,s getting to grips with his car as well so next year should see some 5.2s . The combined age of Krister and Dave on the start line is 125 years ????there is hope for us all

It´s great to see your team racing, seems very professional.
Think of the amount of knowledge with Dave and Krister in the same team.
I remember watching Krister race at Mantorp Raceway during the 70:ies.
Haven´t been following the Alki series very well, how did this season sum up for you?

We finished second in the champinship ,so considering its our second year with the nitro car we are happy.It was tuff for Dave to change from the old blown car to nitro ,but after winning the championship five years on the bounce he felt it was time for a new challange.So almost overnight two years ago we cut the back of the old Blown alki car built a new rear section for the Nitro moter and of we went.Spent 2008 going around europe smoking the tyres getting no where.Then 2009 it just fell into place.To be honest we are still not sure what we changed to get it down the track but it just seems to be getting stronger and we have stopped frying pistons .....which makes my life easier between rounds:profilel:

Great, please let me congrat :cheers: you for the second place in the championship,
although you´re used to the top finish place.
Then you´re in charge of the bottom end of the engine?
How is the set up of the A fuel engine compared to a blown alco dito.?

The nitro moter is more unpredictable and harder to tune .I check the rod bearings between each round and the main bearings at the end of each race day. If a piston has to be changed then i push that out as well.When i am done i help with the heads if we are running a bit late.Next year will be my last with Dave ,i have just spent two years building this ,,see pic,,and i am gagging to get this bad boy kicking a'[;p

That is a mean looking fish. Did you build it from scratch?

I did read your thread in the welcome wagon and got some answeres. Are you going to the track this weekend or have you already made some run down the Q-mile?

It has not been raced yet , just did not get the time this year.Next year i will be tied up with Dave but i will get to the track some time next year.As for getting to Sweden to race. Well to run at the Viedec Festival and then Hockenhiem is something i plan on doing but not until 2011.

just noticed something swedefish, you where sitting at the nice stands, im always sitting on the otherside where the cheap seats are with the sun burning my back and hoping that i have enough beer to keep the hangover at bay while trying to not get drunk again.. these pics makes me realy look forward to the summer that is on its way :)

Hey Swedefish how goes it, Had a run out in the Notchback a few weeks back. Nothing broke and it goes straight ,just need some track time and the times will tumble. The FIA tour kicks of at Santa Pod with the main event at the end of May then its on to Finland then Sweden.Do not forget to look me up with the Silverline A fuel car when we get to Mantrop park.If we have not melted anything,,, i will have time for a beer ..we have already run the A fuel car this year at the Easter event at the Pod.Its more of a test and tune for us in preperation for the FIA tour.Made some changes from last year , we have a rear wing from Bill Riecharts a fuel car fitted this year .ITs a bit bigger than our old wing...Also some chassis mods but basically the same set up as last year..Looking to be no1 this year and not runner up......

I figured, since this is the only international event in Sweden I just as well
take the cost to sit where the seats are labeled so that we know that we have a seat when we come back from the pits or...

Thanks, now that the spring finally has arrived it´s brighten up.
Cool with your notch, did you have any chance to get a timeslip on the fish?
Love the oldschool look of your fish.
I´ll sure look you up at Mantorp, would be awesome to meet a FABO member,
and a crew member of Dave Wilsons race team to boot.
I´ll keep my fingers crossed for you this season, nothing like watch a A fuel
dragster run down the q-mile.
