Will a 3spd bell housing from a 74 A body fit a 63 A body with a A903 Transmission trans bolt pattern and clutch linkage ect. This is for a slant 6 Thanks in Advance

Brian

Nope. '62-4 only on the bellhousing.

You sure ? I wonder because I just installed a 1974 A-230 ( full synchro) in my 1963 bellhousing ....

BTW , I have an extra 63 Slant bellhousing if that is all you need . $40.00 shipped .

The original question was: will a '74 bell housing fit a '63 A-body trans and clutch linkage. The answer is no. Now you can MAKE it fit if you want to modify stuff but it's not a straight bolt-in. This photo will show the main differences through the years. From left to right....'62-4, '65-6, '67-74, and '75-80. The last two look the same on the linkage mount but the transmission bearing retainer diameter is different.
Thanks, Mark
