Me neither, probably 14's.

Are you going to put that in Cuda? Or do you have another project?

Lee

i have another cuda - 68 fastback.... i always wanted to make it a drag car, it was gonna be a big block car till this....

i know one thing, that block and crank can handle more HP then I can afford to throw at it...lol

dude, if your in the 14's i'll cry..... you better beat me, by a mile!

Ya know, I think that I already asked about the other car thing. It seems to be coming back now.

I hope she's in the 12's. The first time I take her to the track will probably be with the these street tires that are on it right now. So we will see.

hmmmmm

ooh well this is your thread anyway... i'm not taking up anymore of it...lol

comon... what ar yout trying to run with it? low 12?

If you able to email pictures, my email is jason.robbins@leggett.com. I like pictures.

Ya, low 12's. It would be cool to get into the 12's with street tires, but........... doubtful. I hoping to have the windshield in this week, but they haven't called yet. It would be nice for it to happen after work today.

with slick i dont see why you wouldent be in the low 12's high 11's, but i'm pullin numbers outta the air...

:headbang: very aggressive, I always like to see what people can do to make the "older" cars(I consider older like 60's..through about 67) look so aggressive. I was previously interested in a 1965 Dodge Dart, but your work on this car has really made the body lines come out and gives me more of an appreciation for the valiants in general. Very nice work. Whats your combo? I could see 10's from that car, not necessarily now, but a 10 second car that looks that cool gives the newer generation Im part of something to admire.(theyre all ricers! Im glad I didnt get caught up in that nonsense!)

That's lookin GGGGGrrrreat! Keep up the good work! Why the rear seat and seat saver bars? You can't really ride anyone there... Just for looks?

Thanks guys, I put the rear seat in for my kids when I drive around town. I put seat belts in the car front and back. I've put shoulder harnesses in the front and the back are the normal for that time period.

My combo:

340 .040 over heavy TRW's with .040 thousands off the tops for piston to head clearance for the closed chambered full ported E-brocks. So the compression is around 9.8 to 1. Comps XE285HL cam 242/247 @ .050 with .545 lift on both. Scat H-beam rods and with a 65 272 steel crank with mallor weight added. Topped with a six pack intake.

Passon 4 speed an 8 3/4 with Yukon 4.10 gear, spool and aftermarket axles with Grand Cherokee rear disk brakes.

74 front disk brakes up front.

What all does it take for the Grand Cherokee brakes? What parts need to be salvaged?
Do you have a thread on the conversion?Any pictures?Sorry, but i`ve been interested in this brake setup for a year or two.

94 thru 98 GJ have have the 5 on 4 1/2 wheel pattern. I machined the bracket and with a step in so that it would be the same thickness as the drums.

Then I used green bearing and had to make spacers to make back fluch with the caliper bracket for the green bearing flange to bolts solid up to the caliper bracket. I also drill the fifth hole the other four are perfect.

I aslo used the housing studs for the axles from a 2000 or so pickep truck cause they were longer to compensate for the caliper being thicker the the drum backing plate. I also put the calipers i the back.

Now the axles were put back in the same spot as there were, cause of me putting the step in the caliper bracket. Now what I didn't compensate for is the thickness of the rotors are thicking that the drums so the rearend is probably 1/4 in. wider on the both sides.

Which didn't hurt me none.

Lee,

I was perusing thru Layson`s website and they have a listing for rear windshield rubber. It`s under weatherstripping; front and rear windshield.
Hopefully, this is what you sre looking for. BTW....NICE CAR!!!

Hey, thanks. Thanks for noticing for me, but when you call and ask about them they don't any of them even though they advertise both the one piece and the two piece. Thanks again.
