There will not be a full VIN on the core support, lip, and package tray (where Dusters and Demon's are) so you are SOL on finding out what the original engine was...

I bought a set of 340 main caps in a parts deal in Las Vegas las month, I will dig them out and see what they look like. Being that you are close I wonder if they are from that block?

There are headlight buckets and stainless trim rings that hold the headlights on and adjust them. The two square holes hold plastic pieces that the buckets screw too and the third threaded hole holds a spring with a hook...

Yep, there are a dozen ways to change out the torsion bar suspension, but for the street I would never do it now, after having done it in the past...
