Sources for Chrysler type wire terminals

sorry I don't have any part numbers...I just went to a local industrial electrical supply house and purchased a 6 way Metri-Pack connector then all the individual terminals and seals, it was like 12-14 dollars total IIRC. Be forewarned though, the 6 terminal connector won't fit thru the collar...

As another local Mopar guy to Corpus, I was wondering if I could buy some knowledge from you to put to use on my wife’s Duster with whatever your favorite drink is, or taco’s ;). PM me. -Patrick

Any benefit to cutting holes in hood underneath scoop?

That's about the best argument that could be made...I didn't even think of it from that perspective. I gotta do it now!

Any benefit to cutting holes in hood underneath scoop?

On my wife's 75 Duster 360, it's got a Dart Sport scoop. I keep thinking about buying some grommets and cutting holes in the hood, but then before I do something that's not easily un-done try and think what the upside would be. Do people with vented scoops ever see any realized upsides such as...

What are the rest of the late model (73 & Up) folks doing for radiators?

Just to clarify, I'm not having cooling issues with this car. It has a 180* high flow Thermostat that I installed when I put the intake on last year. I'm just looking forward knowing that upon visual inspection of the radiator, coupled with it's age, It's probably not going to be long before...

What are the rest of the late model (73 & Up) folks doing for radiators?

No issue with aluminum, just with Cold Case (they keep bragging about drop-in ready, no modification etc...) that wasn't my case with my 70 Coronet R/T. It's the only purchase for that car that I regret. I may pull it out and mock it up in the duster, if it fits, I'll buy the radiator for my...

What are the rest of the late model (73 & Up) folks doing for radiators?

I'm not sure what's different, but the late model ones like the 75 I posted a picture above, have 2 core radiators that are half the thickness of the earlier ones, but the fan clutch is still almost touching the radiator...something is different, I'm not sure what.

What are the rest of the late model (73 & Up) folks doing for radiators?

...I just want a radiator that fits, and will give me a bit more cooling efficiency if possible. Even with this thin OE radiator, my fan clutch is less than a fingers width from the radiator. The current one on hot/humid Texas days, gives me a 30-35* drop across it at most and struggles to do it.

    Setting vacuum advance

I'm currently going thru this exact subject on my Mopar's. I started with the 74 440ci Ramcharger as it's only getting 6.6mpg, next I'll work on the Duster 360. I also started a thread on RamchargerCentral to document my steps and before/after mileage for tuning the timing/vacuum advance...

Continuing to track down source of no voltage to coil while cranking

and luckily, a previous owner had completely bypassed the seat belt interlock system, unfortunately they also removed the Automatic Transmission wiring from the car, so I have no reverse lights and have to ground the starter relay.

Continuing to track down source of no voltage to coil while cranking

FOUND IT! and I feel like such a dope, I read every reply to this thread twice, made some notes in my own FSM and even drew out the wire trace with a brown sharpie. I feel like a dope because I started in the engine bay and worked backwards checking continuity as suggested and didn't find an...

Continuing to track down source of no voltage to coil while cranking

3 of them, all of the parts that are always suggested to be replaced have been cross tested on a 74 Ramcharger.

Continuing to track down source of no voltage to coil while cranking

Car I'm working on is a 75 Duster 360. (5 wire ECU w/ Dual Ballast) It has an intermittent issue that'll cause it to crank and them immediately fire off when the key returns to the run position. Yesterday I replaced the ignition switch and hoped that it would solve it as it was the last...

Sources for Chrysler type wire terminals

Thanks....I guess I can either try the different dies (for the sake of not waiting around I ended up making the connection work with a regular terminal) or I can buy the real tool (which I more than likely will). Mattax, you're commitment and knowledge contribution to the topic of wiring...

Sources for Chrysler type wire terminals

So one of the terminals that there are only a few of on our mopar's are these double wire terminals. I recently re-did the dual ballast wiring on a 75 Duster 360 and that happens to be one of the spots these terminals are used. I do have some new double terminal terminals I've purchased, but...

Seeking Source for Clips for the 73 & Up Tail Panel Trim

the pic I attached is from a thread from years ago of someone looking for them too. Has anyone ever found a source? I took the tail panel trim off to do some rust remediation and 3 of the clips broke. I tried RTV'ing them on the panel but that was unsuccessful.

Headlight Switch in 75 Duster ( Standard DS357) Fitment issue

Then one of us got the correct switch in a DS357 box and the other didn't. I spent too much time on this issue, the DS357 is not the correct switch.

Need Help with a Crank but No Fire issue

kicked right off. Should I chase down a connection issue starting from the ignition switch? The part that has me stumped though, is that any 5 pin ECU will work which is leading me to think that the ignition switch isn't the culprit.

Need Help with a Crank but No Fire issue

...that day on, have NEVER been able to use a 4 pin ECU otherwise the car will crank for days, but will not fire off until the key is returned to the *Run* position. I recently purchased a HiRev7500 ecu for it, and it does the SAME thing. If I grab ANY 5 pin ECU's (even from a junkyard car)...

Headlight Switch in 75 Duster ( Standard DS357) Fitment issue

How to identify which Wiper Motor (2 speed or 3 speed) Should be on 75 Duster

...this car for his then teenage daughter is a paint/body man by trade, and one of his Cuda's was even featured in and on the cover of Mopar Muscle *11/1998 iirc*. He said that before he put the engine back in, due to not wanting to get into an engine bay restoration it looked better flat black...

How to identify which Wiper Motor (2 speed or 3 speed) Should be on 75 Duster

Little bit more investigation with this car. I noticed (while replacing the upper speedometer cable) what appears to be a grommet where a tube would pass thru the firewall. Is this where the foot pump tube passes thru the firewall? If so, it'd answer my question. I'm just not seeing any...

Bob's Component Resto Part 12: Factory Cruise Control

I got around to doing some more troubleshooting and parts replacing on my wife's Duster 360 today which included replacing the upper cable because I broke the end while removing the instrument cluster a few weeks ago. The Upper cable measured out at 33.5" for and was a Stewart Warner cable with...

Getting tired of the low hanging exhaust tip, hanger identification?

Those are the hangers that attach to the side of the frame rail. which are not what's on there. I'm going to stop by the local muffler shop tomorrow and see what they've got on the shelf.

Getting tired of the low hanging exhaust tip, hanger identification?

I'm working on a 75 Duster 360. (My wife's car she's had since she was 16 and her Dad built it for her) The Drivers side Exhaust Tip is flopping around and it's annoying and really make's it look like a jalopy. On the passenger side, I have the hanger shown in the pictures. When searching...

    Rarest Duster?

I didn't know that the 360 option was unavailable in 76. I thought it was a 75-76 option only.

    Rarest Duster?

rarest by the numbers??? I would take a guess that the 1976 Duster 360 would be pretty few and far between.

How to identify which Wiper Motor (2 speed or 3 speed) Should be on 75 Duster

Just to maybe help you. This is the 2 speed wiper motor switch out of my 74 Ramcharger. Part Number 2864152 When You push it (about a 1/4 Movement at most) It triggers the electric washer. Then of course there are 2 clockwise positions for Low/Hi on the wiper speed.

Steering Column fitting Loose at Firewall
