    I’m freekin bored.

That would be tempting. One of the guys I used to ride with broke both wrists on a night ride I passed on. Hit a ditch he didn’t see till the last second.

    I’m freekin bored.

Not a cry for help. Just a statement of fact.

    I’m freekin bored.

See, that’s the thing. I would rather be alone actually. Thanks for the thought tho.

    I’m freekin bored.

Nothing but bars around here, and I don’t drink or even enjoy being around drunk people. There are a few night time car get togethers in Phoenix, but that is an hour and a half drive one way. I like driving at night on lit multi lane freeways with the windows down, but nothing like that around...

    Hesitation

The problem with some of the diagnostics with an AFR gauge is if the engine is having miss issues the AFR will show what looks like a lean problem when it’s actually just showing a lot of unburned oxygen. So yes, an engine can have an ignition issue and it looks like a lack of fuel on the AFR.

Where to go to get door properly aligned...

It’s not rocket science. Any half competent person with tools should be able to take care of that as long as the hinges are decent. That said, the list of half competent people seems to be getting shorter by the day.

Music is a pretty big deal.

Yep, I also like the lighting choices. It was also pretty cool that the new unit has all the exact same connections. Just slide the old one out and the new one in. No redoing any wiring.

    Cuts out going up hill.

You did an excellent job of describing your symptoms. It’s gotta be either the pump, the pickup or the lines between them. Make sure no lines are sucking air anywhere, look for wet spots on the rubber ones, and replace any rubber that has hardened up. Actually if you don’t have it already, use...

    Kelsey Hayes replacement rotors question

Are you saying the center register is bigger, or that the replacement rotor doesn’t go down flat on the hub? I have had to slightly counter sink the back of rotors so it fits over the stud swedges. And I have gotten centric rings that take up the space between the rim center and a smaller hub.

Music is a pretty big deal.

Ah, so you have most of the same complaints I have with folders, libraries and volumes. I wish there was a separate volume control for turn by turn vs music playback. Turn by turn is always too quiet, or I have to have the music too loud, so I can hear what it says. Curious to see how the new...

    Paint question

I have a hard time leaving this alone. We have one modified and one not, and it’s sooo tempting to put a 4 barrel and a Wieand intake that I have on the yellow 72. It’s a 2 barrel 318, single exhaust car.

Music is a pretty big deal.

My current head unit is playing not so funny games. One day I noticed a battery drain over the course of 2-3 days and found that the memory function of the unit was causing it. The memory wire of the unit is supposed to be connected to full time 12v, but it was bleeding power over to the head...

    Help! No power!

The original post sounds exactly like a bad battery cable connection. The starter wouldn’t blow a fusible link.

That is the type of car I have the most interest in at car shows. The shiny restored ones are boring.

    340 dual point??

I’m currently running a stock style smallblock distributor with a mag pickup that has been recurved with the Mr. Gasket springs, the long tip rotor and an 8 pin HEI module with the matching Ecore coil. It’s been flawless for years, and I really can’t imagine changing. But I have another brand...

    Are you a narcissist?

When in an argument or “discussion” and the other person is clearly wrong, and won’t listen to proof or facts you might as well just shut it down. Well, unless a person just likes to argue. I don’t, and let people keep their opinions if they choose to ignore facts. All too common these days.

A-body armrest - stripped threads in door’s sheet metal

I feel your pain on that one, as I delt with a couple those. I have a mig, tools and even taps and dies. So what did I do? Stuck a paper clip half way through and bent it down then put the screws in.
