340 Oil Priming Question First Start

Guy’s need your help. Again I am new to C-SBM oiling. My wife and I worked on priming the oil manually. We held a constant 60psi while I slowly rotated the motor. I never saw much more than drips out of the bottoms of the rockers. I expected at one point to see it come through the small holes...

Builders: Square engine, Over Square, or Under Square for you?

How much effect does the almost 1.3 sq/in in area of the piston come into play wrt a 4 vs 4.2" bore? it's almost 10% more surface to push down so I'd have to think that has some impact. if so, how much?

    Swinging for Divorce…

I agree, the car cover in that bldg. in winter held moisture. If he had a concrete floor, maybe some ventilation, it would have been OK. I never seen such a nice car just go to Hell that quick. Mice pee is caustic! I lived on Mo. 37 years.

    My 70 Dart

Well, got the sending unit in and whole thing back in car. It was a little tricky doing it, but it's done. Put 5 gallons of non-alcohol gas in, not cheap but what the heck. I blew out the line from right before the fuel pump back and some crud came out. I had to prime carb a couple times to get...

    Magnum Heads On 340

Have you established specifically on which ports and where the leaks are? There are several possible reasons for leaks and you can't fix anything until the cause is identified. Need to start with straight, flat surfaces on both parts at a minimum. I can't remember the brand, but there are...

I'll bet the cover didn't help. Helped hold moisture. Lime gravel I'm not familiar with.

    Holley Float Bowl Gaskets

Maybe put the bowl on a flat sanding surface like we would a water neck. Though the moto tool would obviously work, it would be hard to get a uniform surface with it.

But the real question is why settle for 400 cubes. Bigger cubes is better at everything. When Jesus comes back...check out what he has, 3500 cubic inch 100-71 blown nitro HEMI 10 inch bore 5.6 inch stroke, yeah you better believe it.
