Static tire balancer, make some mandrel for hub size and center cap of your rim and buy a bullseye level. Center the golf cleat and set into cup of pushrod. Stack pennies on edge to balance. Weigh the stacks and apply the stick/clamp on weights and check for bubble up. Worked better than a...

My mom wants an electric lawn mower. Any reccomendations?

I had an old 24v 500w mower that would bog hard on basic grass, i hope they got better. I took the motor out and put it in my kids Razor scooter, it rips at twice the rpm of the old 250w motor.

    Nipple removal

Would work on larger ones, novel idea! Span one wrench over side of nipple and then hook it with another and pull across the part. Nipple may slightly crush and break free.

CHEAP people....let's see your stories about those frugal folks that were smart or really annoying!

I save pretty much every PCB and rechargeable battery pack I come across out of scrap electronics and spend leisurely hours in the garage with the stereo on, heat gun going and pliers pulling out anything that will come out of those boards component wise. I got a pretty good collection of...

Are the Cragar SS wheels the best looking option for 1967-70 Darts?

post 32, 50, 56 and maybe 60 are the only SS pics? Yeah, that shows they are not really that popular. I see quite a few Radirs , torque thrusts, and other non chrome 5 spoke that look much better than the thick 14 cragar SS's. I like the satin Centerlines for a modded look and the Rallyes for...

DIY static balancer using 3D printer

All those pennies balanced it and that was with the original weights on from a previous dynamic balance. I must have lost some weights as it was smooth for about a day and then started flaring up at 55-63 mph and would smooth out past that. I stripped all the old weights off it and got it down...

DIY static balancer using 3D printer

Made a centering puck for the bottom (3D printed the OD of the raised centering boss of the hub) and a bullseye pad for the top that sets into the recess for the center cap. Bottom has a 3/8 drilled hole centered for a screw in golf cleat, wrap with pipe tape to get a snug fit. I sharpened the...

    Early bayonet ID?

Friend found a hoard of knives pre estate sale from a deceased relative. They said take the whole lot and it was about 500 various China replica swords, machetes, multi-tools, combat knives....90% Chinese made trinkets. I saved these 3 original looking bayonettes from a $100 valued pawn shop...

But none of the intake based bungs have line of sight to the back of the valve. Only really an issue when your counting % of HC at the tail pipe as in smog regs. That's why TBI moved to MPFI , just emissions. Anything efi with an O2 feedback is better than a 1920 or a BBS, even in good tune.

Another gauge corrector--cheaper than MeterMatch, 33.00

you could get real trick and run the fuel cell mounted on a scale, just keep and eye on the weight remotely...aircraft style. "I got 35 lbs, Im good!"

Another gauge corrector--cheaper than MeterMatch, 33.00

how about running a fuel flow meter and just keeping an eye on it? 15 gallons flows 15 gallons. When the meter has flowed 13 gallons time for a fill up and a reset. No sure how much these are but this one is $35. It may measure way too much like 1-60 liters per minute...

    Anti Freeze question

its illegal on the strip but other than that, sounds like a winner! That Dex-cool about ruined my Suburban. Going on a multi state road trip and we pull into an Albuquerque service station running a little hot. Right as I'm about to pop the hood, the stat housing blows out and dex cool shoots...

with gask-a-cinch......? How about AL spray paint on copper head gaskets? I dont see any issues unless its a sliding gasket face like on a slant exhaust manifold or the bottom of a head that takes a certain RA so the MLS gasket bites OR slides.

Ive seen oil drive hex worn almost round and all that torque runs through that keyway. Had SG rear axle splines twist almost a full spline right out of the carrier, stuff happens.

I used a Magnum nipple and adapter plate on a 360, worked. Some say you have to bend the plate a little for it to seal but Mine sealed fine.

    Spare parts prices

Bought 2 front loader washer/dryer combo. $200 as they washer "leaked" and the dryer did not match the new models. The "leak" was a rubber 90 on the top that a rat had chewed through. I just muscled the hose around the corner and its still going strong, its a newer design but goes to show you...

We had a 1955 5 pilot light oven with a griddle, gas man says it was drawing about $350/yr on pilot light alone. I should have just lit the damn burners myself as it was really a neat old oven. I bought a 1981 Coleman gas generator just for the 5HP Tecumseh green painted motor for my 1968 Powell minibike, paid $50 for it on facebook. Trans flush with no convertor plug...

This fluid is done, I cant see how this black stuff (an inch over the full mark too) could be good and of course I drained it into a dirty pan with a few leaves and treed droppings into it so its not reuseable. Its a FWD Mazda with the Ford/Mazda 5F27EL transmission. I took the valve body out...

Trans flush with no convertor plug...

Whats procedure? I'm thinking pull cooler line into bucket and run another line back to trans and gravity feed it new fluid in via funnel at about the same rate? In neutral so it pumps?
