One eve early '87, a friend & I went to a record & musicians store in Donaldson's Crossroads, then ran up to Heads Together for a bit of shopping. He left His Datsun, & We were rollin' in the Thunderbooger, for 'extra' entertainment. Once Home, He got in His ride & We were talkin' about the band...

How Do I Adjust A Subwoofer For Best Sound?

A sensitivity of 90 db, is 90 db at 1 meter with 1 watt, so 1 meter basically listening position in a car, going 10 x to 10 watts gives you a 100 db, going 10 x again a 100 watts equals 110 db, can't really go up another 10x's and doubling to 180 watts only gives you a just noticeable change in...

Lower dash panels in. Stereo in place but not wired.Everything is tight under the dash with all that wiring. Should have thinned the harness even more. Wont be doing that until much later. We have a bose portable speaker that really rocks, should be good enough. Column cover next, then figure...

Help! Doug's headers in 67 barracuda

From memory, I recall being really disappointed in the lack of performance gains with shorties, I believe they flow pretty much like cast iron manifolds, I could be wrong. For that reason alone I decided to make the long tubes work whatever that meant. In summary, I had no choice but to use a...

    18" Subaru WRX Wheels?

Subaru wheels are 114.3, exactly 4.5. Backspace is the only way to put a wide tire on the front of an A-Body and keep the tire under the fender. But it also means 17" wheels at a minimum, too. Not sure what the typical offset is on a Subaru, but it might not be any more than a late model RWD...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning, working on finalizing the camping plans for power tour. So far, I’ve got three spots very close to the venues for CHEAP. And fully paid and reserved. Funny, all these power tour folks eat up the hotels and fancy camping places but ignore the state parks which can’t raise rates for...

Ford 8.8 rear end for my 64 dart?

Seeing some threads of folks not even cutting them down and just making it up with wheel offset. Is there anything massively annoying about this swap I'm not seeing?

    Tr6060 behind a small block?

Sounds more and more like it’d probably be better just to go with a t-56 magnum instead of the tr6060, unless I’d wait to swap the tr6060 until I do a G3 swap, then it’d Nville be a bolt in deal.

    Tr6060 behind a small block?

Based on this mockup picture from my idler issue thread, I don't think an oil filter will fit. Not sure a remote filter would either, but maybe with 90 degree fittings?

Ford 8.8 rear end for my 64 dart?

I have a buddy that used one for his old mustang and it looks like a cheap way to a very good rear end with limited slip. Anyone shove one in your a body? Trying to see if there's any obvious reasons this is a bad idea. Plenty of explores I can do yank one out of for cheap.

    727 11” torque converter - Identify aftermarket

Hi, Do you by chance recognize these 11” TC stamp numbers? SS T37 51117 10 5 16 (date perhaps) I can’t find in Summit, Jegs, TCI, Hughes etc.. Just in case you have bought one and know the origin, and I could find the spec.. It may be produced by a smaller shop. I appreciate you looking.

    Tr6060 behind a small block?

Even though the PS starter won't crash with the idler for you, I wonder if it will crash with the oil filter. I know the GC had a PS starter and oil filter, but sure feels like it could be a big issue.

    Hood clearance Question

The car is a Father Son project and on the bucket list is to get through a Hot Rod power tour, without too many issues. What I remember of last power tour was plenty of cars cooling system, vapor lock issues, ignition system failures, and car thefts in Tennessee. I really want this to be as...

[FOR SALE] Holley 390 4 barrel carburetor

Holley 390 carburetor with vacuum secondaries. List-8007 1572 Bought it about 4-5 years ago and never used or tried it. Great carb for a slant 6. The person that sold it to me stated he did not think it needed to be rebuilt but possibly a good cleaning. $200 + $30...

    Tr6060 behind a small block?

If you do bolt it up with a SB flywheel, don't forget to look at the starter. Looks like the Challenger flywheel is 131T, so the bellhousing might not put the start in the right location.

    Initial Torqueflite tear down findings

B&M valve body mods as found: Line pressure spring was heavier than stock (natural color) 1-2 shift valve spring had been replaced (blue color) Found the typical valve body drilled wall and check ball delete. Tr6060 behind a small block?

Found it. "Old-school LA-engine automatic transmissions and manual-trans bellhousings bolt up (just leave out the top bolt), but there's a slight misalignment because the LA crank's "stick-out" relative to the rear block bellhousing face is about 0.090-inch longer compared to the Gen III Hemi...

    Hood clearance Question

Just my opinion.... Is it needed? nah. Overkill? absolutely not. If you have one and it fits, run it. If not, you'll be fine without it.
