    Sorry!!! Ford question

Every hose I found required the vent bolt hole to be bored out to 9/16 which I did. I did use the 75 Maverick, the later one and it works. Bought the same hose, same manu. from rock for about $9 instead of $35.

    Hot Rod Power Tour 2024

Life can be an adventure..if you let it. Guy asks why my old cars have NO AC? I tell him, it clutters my engine bay, and IF you have spent a lifetime working outside in the heat, the sun, riding down a road in any old car with the windows down, hearing that engine, with the vent windows...

    Sorry!!! Ford question

This might be it or if all else fails, keep the part of the hose just for the vent and use another hose just for the brakes and fasten it to the housing separately.

Tune up advice, 68 Dart with later electronic ignition.

1968 Dart 318 2 barrel.. I don’t know the history of the car but it was converted to the later model Chrysler electronic ignition at some point in its life. I was gonna do plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.. would I need to buy all that stuff for the later model electronic ignition stuff? Say like...

1966 Dodge Dart Convertible disc brake conversions

ford explorer and ranger both use the 5x4.5" bolt pattern (same as the mopar "big" bolt pattern). so do mustangs, but unless you find one from a fox body (up to 93?), it'll be as wide or wider than the aspen/volare rear end. the center register on a ford is slightly smaller (IIRC it's 2.75"...

383 knock goes away on warmup

Support the "Piston Slap" comments. I built a 383 with forged pistons and set-up "Loose" for street/race application. Had to walk away on initial start-up and drink a cup of coffee. After operating temp no knock. This engine had 40,000 miles befor a tear down inspection. No issues found...

493 hard to start when warm

It’s very likely caused by the locked distributor. Get it hot and twist 20 degrees out of it then try to start it. Probably will spin nice and easy. You’ll need a curve in the distributor or a start retard to fix it.

CNC Mill Mark Removal in Intake Port

The funny thing is, for all of the experience DV has, He acted somewhat puzzled when He gave a NAPCAR team a "super atomizing" carb setup He created for a restrictor plate engine......and it lost like 6mph+ or something on that order. Since I've despised the sanctioning body since the early...

And here is where marketplace probably has its biggest issue. Because we all are to smart to put our phone number in the ad it has to go through messenger which honestly I hate. If I didn’t buy or sell parts I wouldn’t have it because your Facebook friends use it to send you stupid stuff all day...

493 hard to start when warm

If running a carb (i.e. not Fuel Injected), could be leaking float valve or float level set to high. This will allow fuel to fill cylinders and be over rich or slightly hydro locked. 4 cycle engines like to be lean on a hot start.

    Problem with reproduction steel wheels

It’s got me stumped too. Next time I’ve got the car on the rack I’ll pull off one of the convos and slide on a steelie. I went to wheel vintiques web site and they don’t offer a 15x10 any more. Could be due to people getting away from 15’s. As I said I’m not smearing the company just have had...
