So...I was wrong. I just checked the car,185/75-15 mh racemaster radials on streetlite 4". Mounted is 25-3/4" and 26" with no load at 32psi scaled at 1460# front
I missed all 3 of the events I enter up there this year. I was hoping to back up my last et there. I really like it up there. LBV and the people made Englishtown just ok.
If I read correctly, you were considering running the electric pump as suction from the water pump inlet to the bottom of the radiator. I was taught that radiators are hot top(inlet) and cool down(outlet) due to thermodynamics. Crossflows work the same, but I don't see how putting the "hot"...
Yes,over the plate. Just as if you had a motorplate like in the post#4 pic. The ports can be drilled and tapped to a desired size. No, the factory water pump doesn't have dividers. Yes a Y will work fine, the water will go where it can.
My max timing is 26 degrees, pretty much runs much of the rpm range at 22. Picked up 2 tenths. Naturally aspirated Gen 3's don't like or need a lot of timing. If you have a scanner or code reader that shows data stream, plug it into a late model hemi vehicle and note the actual timing while...
In the spirit of this^^^^^^^. These are the plates I was given by 76orangewagon . I was going to use a pump gasket as a template for the 3/8" block off plate. These would be drilled larger and tapped for 90 degree fittings. Mounted as pictured above and plumbed to a dual outlet pump. His install...
76orangewagon did this (20teens) and I asked him about the plate. He made two 1/2" thick adapter plates that could be tapped for coolant hose fittings and used them over the block off plate. I haven't seen him her in a while.
gps tach is an "add on". It'll allow you to pull up feedback 0-60,1/8.1/4,et's,mph and highest rpm reached) just as the gps speedo does with out changing the factory gauges. All the things you can do with a phone app. except rpm.
This was at least 100 hours from layout to run. I had went from FAST (408) to terminator x (hemi) back to FAST (Hemi). So even with experience , wanting a specific outcome wasn't free timewise (all labor was mine) it was about 100 hours each time.
I run 325/50×15 M/T Street R's, drive and drag them with no issues. I was originally using the same size M&H racemaster radials and had nowhere near the traction.
Carnut and junyardhero are pretty much on par. The cost is truly subjective to your expectations finished. My '68 was already fuel injected (408) and HDK'd, I reused the 727, cooling system and just got the new mounts from Denny. I upgraded the fuel pump and lines from -6 to -8 (which you...
