You might be better off getting a LOKAR cable setup. Even getting the stock 4bbl linkage that year would have to be modified to work properly.

The factory part number is 2465508 and is the same for both sides.

Nope, it doesn't as long as the vent tube is open. It just vents to the outside through the filler neck seal. I've seen them plugged with undercoat, rust, mud, bugs, etc.

The 2bbl and 4bbl bellcrank (that bolts to the back of the head) are different. so is the front link between the carb stud and the bellcrank. If you have an aftermarket intake and carb, that can be a chore trying to get it to work right.

The 392 stamped pan is the A,B,E,F body pan. The 875 is the '74-8 C-body pan, and a 438 pan is the '70-3 C-body. It's all about the clearance between the pan and the K-member and steering linkage. You also would be advised to get it's matching oil pickup tube.

You still might have to hammer a front corner to clear the k-member. Not all cars need that, but, don't be surprised if yours does.

IIRC, a Volare Road Runner should have plastic fender flares, louvered quarter glass panels, a trunk lid spoiler, and various badging. I think dual exhaust too.

To me, the availability of an 8 3/4 only confirms when they started making them and could be dealer installed, not when they were a factory option. I'd like to see some official paperwork (like and order sheet) where that option was actually included in a factory build.

Yup, on a stock automatic, the knob has an allen head set screw in the lower front part of the knob. The screw tightens into a slot on the shifter lever. I'm not aware of any aftermarket shift knobs that fit that type shifter. You may have to modify one to get it to latch on there properly.

Yeah, it should have a white nylon pad in that location. I don't know anyone making them, but, you should be able to make and glue one on. I'd add a bit of silicone grease where it contacts the bell crank arm to reduce wear and prevent any sticking.

If you have the broadcast (build) sheet, that will have both the VIN and SO numbers on it. Both should match what's on the car. I believe a window sales sticker would have the VIN also.
