Doug's headers not fitting - frustration

I just wanted you to know, I feel your pain hahaha ‘67 Barracuda, factory V8, motor has never been out. Going on vacation with my family this weekend, and I’ll get back to it next week. I’m going to read through this thread again, and if you have any tips not already mentioned, I’d appreciate them.

    clutch fan won't fit

I’ve got the 2947 that I used on a 383 with a champion 3 core in an A Body. It’s too short for my 67 273, just sitting on the shelf. PM me if you are interested.

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

Rob, if this was for me, yes. I’ve got the ground strap on there too. It’s a head scratcher.

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

You could be right, this is all French to me. I’ve got someone who knows more than me helping me with it, I’m upgrading the IVR and adding a Tach. Hopefully it gets straightened around, that car didn’t come with the original sending unit so I’m SOL if I can’t figure it out. I’ll be damned if...

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

I’m trying to figure it out, but the same sending unit that worked for 3 different A bodies does some wonky stuff in the 67, the only difference being the Rally dash.

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

Same here…until I got my 67 Barracuda. The rally dash gauge doesn’t work with the new sending units.

    Rear end swap/install

If you had a lift, air tools, and a transmission jack, and you didn’t give a **** about breaking anything, you could have it pulled in 40 mins. Otherwise I’d figure a few hours to get it out and a few more to get the new one in and brakes bled/adjusted. It took me two nights probably 7 hours...

I’m sure some of you won’t like this, but this is what I do. The super tech 10,000 mile filters at Walmart are made in the USA. I buy a 3 pack for $10. I get these Mopar stickers in bulk for about .50 cents a piece.

Does anybody make a 2 1/4" exhaust for A body?

That would be very cool if it’s true, I was a valley kid that spent a lot of time in Dogtown and those dudes are hero’s.

[FOR SALE] 1967 Barracuda Commando Stock Y-Pipe and intermediate pipe

Thank you for that, the intermediate pipe is definitely 2 1/4 may be closer to 2 1/2 inch, but it’s compressed, so it’s hard to really tell.

[FOR SALE] 1967 Barracuda Commando Stock Y-Pipe and intermediate pipe

This is the stock exhaust system from my 273, I am selling the y-pipe and as much of the intermediate pipe as the buyer would like/willing to pay to ship. The muffler is not stock and was replaced by Midas in the 80’s, so I am not sure if the tailpipe is factory or not. You can have it if you...

Any value in stock commando 273 exhaust?

Not a for sale thread, going with headers and duals on my ‘67 Barracuda Commando car. Is this something someone might want for a resto or upgrade on a 2 bbl car? The muffler was replaced at Midas in 1981, I’ve got the receipt. Not sure if the tailpipe is original, I thought the commando got a...

    US Mag Indy wheel question

Not quite the same car, 1965 dart. But 15 x 7 US Indy mags with 235/60 Cooper cobras up front. Second picture is looking down from above at the fender, you can see there is no wheel poke. 255/60 out back.

    AVS2 650 Secondary Bog

I run the 650 Avs2 on a commando 273. You can run that carb, and tune it to run better, but you need more carb IMO.

Big block 67 Fastback Barracuda Not Mine

Keep me in mind if you aren’t going to use it. The trunk extensions and drivers side quarter and obviously the valance are where all of the rot is on this one. I usually don’t go for cars that need metal work but I couldn’t let this one go.
