    Nope of the day

If I were that driver, I believe I would find out who the MFG's were that made both the king pin and the hitch plate/latch. Then I'd go and shake everybody in the building's hand and thank them for doing a good job!

    Motor assembly equipment Recommendations

I bought one of these when they had them on sale last year. I also bought a fine grit fish hook sharpener to dress the ends of the rings after filing the gap. My buddy that did my machine work on my 273 let me borrow his ring filer that is exactly like the one I later bought, to do my rings on...

Headliner or Glass... Which should go First?

I agree with all....headliner first. Be prepared to prick your fingers on the little teeth that hold the headliner. I always find a few band aids before I start a headliner...and just take them into the car with me....lol.

Rotor for my SSBC A1531 conversion

I sold one of those kits a while back, and the rotors had a dual pattern. Worked for both 5 on 4 and 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. I am pretty sure they are some sort of Ford rotor, because some early Mustangs had basically the same brakes as 66-72 A bodies, but with 4.5 bolt pattern.

    Hood clearance Question

The air gap intake, be it an Edelbrock or the Chinkanese version, will have the exhaust cross over in the center blocked. That will cut down on the heat under the carb and the open area underneath can only help. At most, I would use the 3/8 insulator type gasket as suggested by @TrailBeast ...

Lookin good! If you have a double flaring tool, it's easy to push a nub onto the end of the fuel line.

Rest In Peace to my cat Copper Girl

Happy Heavenly Birthday to you Miss Copper! If you see a big ol Siamese kitty that's kind of cross eyed around the Rainbow Bridge, his name is Clarence and he's a good guy. Tell him Dad said hi and I miss him.

    8.75 auger?

It's got bolts holding it into the housing, vs studs and nuts like cars!

Piedmont Mopars show @ Farmington Dragway 5-11-24 Farmington, NC

It's a nice car. Real 340 car with a mild 440 in it. Went 7.20's all day long foot braking. Johnny is 2 months older than you and me, and we've know each other since we were 18.

Far and away, the BEST Mopar show in The Carolinas! Great pics Will. I missed seeing you somehow. I saw @barracudakid @345man2 @SS Lancer and probably others who I didn't know were members. That pic of the Orange 72 Duster with the 440 stripe belongs to one of my best friends in the world. He...

Tomorrow!!! Hope it's a good turnout, because it looks like the weather is going to be great. If someone is bringing 833 parts, let me know! I would like to find a 30 spline output main shaft, plus an A body tailshaft housing.

Not mine 1967 commando 273 automatic with air fastback Barracuda (rough) but there.

They ruined the spring that holds the jack....I ain't bidding on that thing now!

    Rear end

Go to a self serve car wash with spray wands, and blast all that crud off the cover. Be prepared to get splattered with some of it....lol. If you get that junk off the cover and bolts, you will be able to see the gear ratio tag unless someone has removed it. I'll start the betting that it's 2.45...

    [WANTED] Rear Window Trim

Used would be the only place at the moment, but they are all 60 years old at this point.....so that's kind of an exercise in futility. I have a 65 Barracuda, so I understand...lol.

    [WANTED] Leaf spring hanger stud

Saved to favorites....thanks Andy! Are these the same as what holds an 8 3/4 carrier to the housing, and the studs in the ends of the housing that hold backing plates and axles?

    [WANTED] Leaf spring hanger stud

Take one with you, and go to NAPA. They have all kinds of stuff like that, but you need to talk to someone who has worked there a while. You could also go to a local fastener business....maybe Fastenal, if you have one local.

    Washer tank.

Story of my life....lol. My 65 Barracuda won't be close enough to stock for me to want a nice one like that. I'm going to use one for a later car of some sort, with an electric pump. It'll work the same. :)

    1965 Barracuda

Is it the 65 Barracuda you had on here for sale a while back? If so, use the oil pan, motor mounts and exhaust from the 273. The truck will have a 727 in it, which can fit with a big shoe horn! You will need to beat the pinch weld where the firewall and floor pan meet. You will also have to take...

I Need Engine Experts! 340 Roller Lifter and Pushrod Issue

Run the oil pump with a drill while rolling the motor over with a ratchet/socket. The lifters will oil up if you roll it around several rotations, which is pretty easy with the plugs out. Then check your push rod length as soon as they pump up. You really only need 2 that are linked together to...

I Need Engine Experts! 340 Roller Lifter and Pushrod Issue

Morel hydraulic roller lifters, which are what you have in there, are the best hydro rollers you can use in a SB Mopar. The oil band is lower than others, so the band stays in the bore. The ones in my 273 clear just fine, but my saving grace is I used late 80's 302 heads, which have bigger push...
