Used up over half of my bad words.

So the other day I mentioned being bored, so I decided to go to the local Pick a Part just to see if there was anything interesting. When I pulled into the parking lot some guys big *** dog ran over and jumped up on my drivers door and stuck his head in my window. I friggin lost it. Not the end...

    904? 46RH? 727? Opinions?

When I did mine they only made a kit without any speed adjustments, so I built this setup myself.

    904? 46RH? 727? Opinions?

I have a 42RH in my dart that shifts OD and lockup fully automatically by using pressure switches off the governor port of the trans. The switches are even adjustable so you can set your preferred shift speeds. Or turn both off to simulate a standard 904. Same can be done with the 46RH and...

    Sanden A/C Compressor to fit a 273

CCA has the bracket kits for the cast water pump as well as the aluminum. It was one of the questions they asked.

    Sanden A/C Compressor to fit a 273

Makes me want to buy a water jet table. I recently installed a Classic Air kit and was shocked how much the brackets were. They even come all scratched up. They told me they all do from their supplier.

    Hood clearance Question

Maybe consider the 3/8 insulator instead of the spacer.

    Where to go next?

Man I did so much riding on that beach and in the dunes. I did the last half of my senior year of high school in Arroyo Grande, but lived in Shell Beach because my Dad got transferred from Susanville CA. to the Mens Colony in SLO. We lived about 80 miles north of Tahoe in the mountains up till...

    Where to go next?

Thanks for the encouragement. My Brother and an extended family member are going on a five day ride up north on their bikes. The Wife suggested I follow along in my car. Nah, that’s ok.

Is my dash pad the wrong color?

Dashpad is good, but everything else is the wrong color. Just kidding, but keep in mind that black reflects off the windshield less.

    Where to go next?

Used to live in that area, but the Dart has never been there.

Is this a thrust button and can it be removed?

Yea, I saw that video. The thing is, if I was working with some of the stuff he does I would hack some of it too.

Is this a thrust button and can it be removed?

Is it possible that the bearings you got years ago were better quality? Maybe. I take all the YouTubers with a grain of salt, and some are so hack I have to change the channel, so please don’t think I fall for everything anyone else says or does. Speaking from first hand knowledge on the...

    Where to go next?

I have been getting in the habit of driving the Dart to a different destination each weekend. One day (doesn’t matter which) and take off for the day. Possible destinations are getting shorter these days since I have been to most of them within 200 miles. Kind of thinking ghost towns as...

Have you seen Chris Birdsong’s video on green bearings? He REALLY hates them. Junkerup on YouTube. Found it.

Nice. My Sons prude ex girlfriend worked in a salon in the same parking lot as the local Safeway store. Him and I pulled up right in front of the big picture windows, set the line lock and did a 1-2-3 shift smoke show. Kinda surprised me to hear people screaming like they did. You would have...

    Well, I’m committed now!

A pain in the butt, but so worth it when it’s done. I had kinda the same thing happen, but it’s fixed now.

Is this a thrust button and can it be removed?

Don’t understand why anyone would put “green” bearings in their car. Overall unreliable POS. The factory bearings are WAY better. A buddy had fairly new ones and one let go on the hiway while we were going to a car show 90 miles away. Blew gear oil all over the entire back end of his car and...

Pls recommend source for full AC system for non-AC 1971 5.2 L Duster

The video is on my YouTube channel, Mopars4us. My Classic Auto Air install video isn’t real detailed, but just an overall of what I did to resolve some of the small problems. CAA was excellent about support when the expansion valve was bad right out of the box. They had a new valve here in 3...

Ah crap, I forgot about the lip.

    Holley Float Bowl Gaskets

Maybe put the bowl on a flat sanding surface like we would a water neck. Though the moto tool would obviously work, it would be hard to get a uniform surface with it.

    A904 real seal questions

If that boot is left unfolded you will probably be smelling burnt rubber, or it could actually catch on fire from the friction. I would cut that boot off. Lots of these cars never had the boot in the first place.

Unfortunately I can’t stand golf. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good suggestion though.

    I’m freekin bored.

I have been considering this. One thing that puts a kink in those kinds of thoughts is remembering what A holes some people can be. You know, the ones that blame you for everything from then on. Just did 25 years of owning a computer service company, and they were even worse about that kind of...

    How much 134a?

My new Classic Auto Air unit takes 24 oz they say. They also say if the compressor is noisy it’s over filled. That kinda infers that one can fill until it gets noisy and let a little out. FYI, I had 40 degree air with the 24oz, but only showed about 20 on the low side and 150 on the high side...

When is a new car "yours"?

For me it takes time. When I first got my Dart I would swear it was testing me. All kinds of little things, like it quit driving down the street for no apparent reason. Then I would find some stupid little thing and fix it. Then something else, and this went on for a couple of weeks. Finally one...

    I’m freekin bored.

Actually, there is a road trip I want to do. I want to drive over to Stockton, pick up my brother in law and hit all the beaches from Santa Cruse to LA. Can’t afford it just yet, but it’s coming.
