    K-frame alignment?

The t-bars slid in and out when I rebuilt the front end prior to removing the k-frame. I might have driven 100 miles since then, no Bo and Luke action involved. The bars slid right out when I dropped the k-frame. This fun all started when I put it back in. I have a hard time believing the...

Thanks my application is entirely different. I have a 1970 Sport Satellite bbody. So I ordered the MOP750A. I have a lot of room and an existing electric fan set up. I’ll post here how it goes but I doubt Ilhave much issues that I can’t handle. BTW KKS has not gotten back to me. I think they...

Hemi Swapping a perfectly good 70 Duster

Even with my A833OD, a 2.76 is still 2000@75. Not that 2K is a bad RPM to cruise at, there's were I run right now with 3.21's and 65 mph. I could drop even further to a 2.45 and hit 1750@75, but I'm not sure the clutch would last with a starting ratio of 7.57:1. At the same time, a wide ratio...

    K-frame alignment?

Do you have sub frame connectors in the car? If not, the car maybe twisted causing the problem.

    Enlarging PRP doesn't always help

You are correct, maximum flow is not what is most important. It's more about velocity (from which port energy is derived) and shape. It would be nice to keep the port speeds around 300 fps average, but for a SM/Edelbrock style head on a large cubic inch motor, there is not enough area...

    K-frame alignment?

Yup. The datum holes in the frame are obvious. The edges of the holes are turned up into the frame, as if to accept a datum rod, because that's exactly what they do. Each of those vertical lines up there in that diagram ^^^^^ represent the datum holes in the frame. Those are your dedicated...

Ralley dash with aftermarket tach question

Use the search function. Somewhere there's an aftermarket tach install thread that the owner did quite cleverly. Similar to this although much nicer. I found this pretty quickly just browsing after I typed in aftermarket in dash tach.

Got it pretty well wrapped up as far as I want to take it. I'll list it for sale in a week or so, after I've driven it around town to make sure everything is good. I cleaned the interior, the door panels cleaned up nicely, with exception of the drivers front door panel which was already...

    U-Haul car trailer experience?

Used them 3 times to run Max 300 miles round trip to Carlisle and back. And yes running at 70 was not an issue. I used the '92 Dodge B350 1 ton Church Van. I also used one to run Max to the repair shop on the other side of Philadelphia. I will not do that again. The Philly streets are not made...

    Enlarging PRP doesn't always help

Remember my wording when it comes to short side. I lower then shape the short side. A lay back on a piss poor short side like the Edelbrock is a small radius. Now if we were playing with a W2 head or a Chevy Dart Platinum head we are talking another story. Both have beautiful short sides.

    Enlarging PRP doesn't always help

The heads I’m most familiar with, wrt SSR issues are BB 906 and 915 heads. While I have seen very good flowing examples of those where the SSR hasn’t been lowered/laid back as much as I typically do(when heavily ported), I’ve never been able to duplicate those results. On the other hand, I’ve...

Where can I buy a reliable remanufactured 318 for 1971 Duster?

Could be, having worked in memory care facilities, I know people have both their good and bad days and sometimesa mental declines are not readily apparent. I had seen Dan a few months before he passed, and he seemed sharp and honest that day. He talked me out of doing some machine work on a...
