    won't start....

Yeah, that's my relay. If I have the wrong NSS, can't I just ground the wire that goes to it and see if it cranks (in park, no coil wire on)?

Anyone Have A Machine Shop They Recommend Near Indianapolis?

Basically the title. I've got a 360 magnum that needs to go 20 over and a few other basic things. Don't have a prior relationship with any shops so don't know who I can trust to do quality work at a reasonable price. Looking for recommendations. Thanks.

    15 inch 4 " (SBP) steel wheels ?

Spoke with Summit yesterday, none in stock, 3 on b/o, but rep said to put ZERO faith in getting anymore in. Checked Coker(owner of WV), they have none on theirwebsite. JEGS website showed stock, called JEGS directly, they said there was stock, so I ordered 4 of them. They ship FedEx and I was...

    Spark Plug Advice Needed

I totally agree with this. Nothing wrong with using manifold vacuum on the vacuum can if it runs better, BUT unless you fix the carburetor FIRST, you're just using manifold vacuum as a band aid.

Alternative to Bright Dip Anodizing Trim

Thanks for the input guys. I'm not worried about achieving a perfect shine. I'm really just wanting to see what options are out there for protecting the polished bare aluminum so I don't have to polish it often. Has anyone tried Sharkhide or similar products? Would a regular automotive-grade...

    Spark Plug Advice Needed

When the engine was built the math did work out to a touch over 9:9 to 1. Like I said before that Don spun the distributer and set all the advance and vac can for me. I filled out a very long spec sheet that he sent me and he came up with the curve. And if you look at some of the first...

Flex plate bolts witness marks on torque converter

His could though. Since it appears from the question Charlie asked that he has a small converter hub in the large crank register, that could allow the converter to move back and forth on its axis and wear holes in the front of it from rubbing those bolts.

Superbirds looked better than Daytonas IMO also.

I'd forgotten how ugly the Superbird really was ...

Gary Romberg would certainly disagree with that statement. All the drivers who only saw it's taillamps on the circle track would probably agree.

    Spark Plug Advice Needed

That’s not a little rich. That’s very fat. These threads all run together after a while but aren’t these plugs out of an engine that is using manifold vacuum because the carb is fat? If so, fix the carb BEFORE you start with timing. You are far enough off that it’s cause you to jack more timing...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

I wish I had a pic of the chop job my body shop buds did on a VW Bug. These guys. Ya know the old Meyers Manx fiberglass buggies? Well they chopped the Bug floor pan like 14" shorter for that glass body. Well Eddie decided he was going to chop a Bug body to fit a floor pan like that. He was...

As you said if the column reverse lights are working you only need to hook the center wire of the 3 wire plug for the NSS. The other 2 wires are for reverse and can be hooked up to the wires at the column. If I remember my switch activation tab was broke off on the 68 Valiant.I ran wires to the...

Best Hammer/ Dolly Set advice from a Pro Panel Beater

I had an el-cheapo ATD set of hammers and dollies and just didn't like them. Felt "clumsy". I bought a Martin set with the fiberglass handles.....like night and day. The Martins are so much better it's unbelievable.
