Shocks: looking for Blistein quality at KYB price.

Or you could disregard the naysayers, and run KYB’s. You could even put a little sticker on them if they really bother you.

    mini starter??

Im kinda stuck there. I had to run a flat air cleaner base when I swapped in an AVS2 carb, and after I swap the performer intake on the air cleaner will almost touch/barely touch the hood. All in the name of keeping the stock air cleaner. I could run a drop base 14” air cleaner and give myself...

    mini starter??

My 273 commando car with the dual point distributor fires up quicker than my modern cars….if the corn gas doesn’t evaporate out of the bowls that is.

    Shock absorber opinion

Firm feel is just for the fronts, the eBay link is for all 4. The eBay seller is PST, they are a vendor on the site and they will give us 10% off, just order from them directly.

    Shock absorber opinion

Kyb’s are great for anything stockish and torsion bars under 1”. I run them and I like them. But they are wayyy too stiff for anything built to handle. If you plan to go big in the future, you should just upgrade shocks now. Quality shocks like Koni or Bilstein will last for decades and are...

[SOLD] Used Doug’s 453 Ceramic coated headers Sell or Trade for 340 manifolds

You ever held a blow torch to ceramic coating and the beat the **** out of it with a big hammer? You wouldn’t look so hot either. Plus if they weren’t so pretty I’d be selling them for a few hundred more.

It’s discoloration from heating and bashing for clearance.

    sloppy shifter

Way worse, I can still get it in gear with sloppy seconds. This is like meeting a $2 gal in a $100 world.

[SOLD] Used Doug’s 453 Ceramic coated headers Sell or Trade for 340 manifolds

I bought these for my ‘67 Barracuda and to make them work in my application I’d have to modify the steering column tube. My car is all original and I don’t want to cut the tube. I’m looking to sell or trade them for 340 manifolds. $450 located in Woodland CA 95695

Small block headers: worst to best fitting. List your experience.

1967 Barracuda, numbers matching 273, Doug’s hit the steering box, coupler and steering tube on a factory power steering car. I know if I cut the tube and shimmed it up, I could make it work.

    sloppy shifter

Brewers, and your spring clips are probably worn out. I think they sell a kit with the bushings and springs for like $20. Worked for my aftermarket Mr Gasket shifter.

Doug's headers not fitting - frustration

I got mine used, from a member on the site for a good deal. My first thought when they were hitting after I dropped, the jack was your thread, and then I wonder if someone would want to trade for some 340 manifold?!?!? lol

Doug's headers not fitting - frustration

I just wanted you to know, I feel your pain hahaha ‘67 Barracuda, factory V8, motor has never been out. Going on vacation with my family this weekend, and I’ll get back to it next week. I’m going to read through this thread again, and if you have any tips not already mentioned, I’d appreciate them.

    clutch fan won't fit

I’ve got the 2947 that I used on a 383 with a champion 3 core in an A Body. It’s too short for my 67 273, just sitting on the shelf. PM me if you are interested.

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

You could be right, this is all French to me. I’ve got someone who knows more than me helping me with it, I’m upgrading the IVR and adding a Tach. Hopefully it gets straightened around, that car didn’t come with the original sending unit so I’m SOL if I can’t figure it out. I’ll be damned if...

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

I’m trying to figure it out, but the same sending unit that worked for 3 different A bodies does some wonky stuff in the 67, the only difference being the Rally dash.
  25. MidnightSwinger

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

Same here…until I got my 67 Barracuda. The rally dash gauge doesn’t work with the new sending units.

    Rear end swap/install

If you had a lift, air tools, and a transmission jack, and you didn’t give a **** about breaking anything, you could have it pulled in 40 mins. Otherwise I’d figure a few hours to get it out and a few more to get the new one in and brakes bled/adjusted. It took me two nights probably 7 hours...
