    Steve Magnante’s Old Valiant

My son owns and runs a Red 68 Valiant 100 that was Hot Rod Cover Car way back then and voted one of the most influential Hot Rods of first 50 years of Hot Rod Magazine and invited to be displayed at Peterson Automotive Museum. Perhaps that is the Red Valiant you were thinking about. It is still...

    Steve Magnante’s Old Valiant

No Aluminum Quarters. Correct on lightweight Hoods/Deck lids/Bumber brackets.. I believe Dart and Duster only 1976 as I remember. I have a nice 76 Duster Lite hood in the back of the shop. It has been For Sale on this site but never any interest.

1970 340 short block for sale — Not Mine

Well did not turn out very well. Engine had been in fact run actually and immediate got hot probably destroying the rings. Also spun the cam bearing circulating metal throughout the engine. Probably ruined the main and rod bearings at a very minimum. Engine did not belong to the guy selling it...

Buy a car without physically seeing it

We just got back to the shop from looking at it. You are not going to like my opinions as I did not care for the body work done on the car. It appears in 1/4 has been replace and the other one has extensive bondo work (See Pictures). None of the sheet metal fits very well and gaps are poor...

The Driveline shops in our area keep them in stock for most applications. I save the box so I will not have to search the part #.

    413 wedge

That is a pretty rare engine mosty used primarily for equipment and oil fields rather in automotive. But I would sonic test any block before bore (.130+) it over or even near that much over.

Help I.D ing these aluminum heads please?

Well good news AND so bad news. Yes they are Legal NHRA replacement heads. However, they are not popular for that due to the fact they are not much better if at all to the production 906 head on his flowbench. Maybe not as good as "C" castings or the even better "F" castings! Sorry = His...

Help I.D ing these aluminum heads please?

They are Mopar Performance heads sold thru Mopar Dealers only 10 years ago or even a little more ago. Cast by Edelbrock and identical except for straight plugs the best I could ever tell by visual inspection. They are discontinued and I believe probably accepted for some NHRA Superstock...
