from the photos that's a lovely looking car with tons of potential and way, way too nice to part out. if you're in over your head on the motor, sell the whole thing to somebody else and search out something that's more in tune with your skills, budget or the amount of work you want to take on.

'70 Dart 392 Project; what direction?

Working on more projects this week. About got my heater hoses routed, waiting on a few more fittings to arrive. About done with my Cold Master AC underdash kit as well. Waiting for a few more fittings as well and then I just need to connect two wires. Got my Radiator/condensor/fans mounted...

    Spark Plug Advice Needed

My suggestion would be to start with the basics. A good tune up, making sure the timing is correct and getting the carburetor lined out with a vacuum gauge. Don't inspect the plugs after puttering around the neighborhood, take it out for a highway run and then inspect the plugs at the first...

440 power gains/ aluminum head advantages?

yeah i'll probably verify it a couple times the kit i got comes with a piston stop so i'll just mess with it until i get consistent readings. i also bought a single solid lifter because from my understanding it makes it a lot easier to degree and get consistent readings with a solid lifter installed

Four Link Suspension, how does it work?

Oh boy Les. This will get interesting and very long lol. I would certainly watch some videos such as posted above from Tim Mcamis and Kevin Wilson both are awesome to watch and break it down nicely. I would also read some articles first.

Four Link Suspension, how does it work?

Chris Alston has a very in depth easy to understand DVD on 4 link. It was a lot of voodoo to me until I got the disc, then easy as pie to understand.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Google has owned Waze, a community-driven navigation app, since June 2013, when it acquired the company for $1.3 billion. Google has kept Waze as a separate app with its own developers, but in December 2022, it announced that Waze would no longer be an independent division. Instead, Waze would...

You shouldn't have to but it helps to remove the cotter key and loosen the castle nut. Are you installing aftermarket A arms?

Stop in for a cup of coffee

We’ve made it to stop 2, Nashville Speedway. We’ve learned a few things: 1: The Route on Google Maps sucks, actually the Google Maps app itself sucks. Had to navigate the old way with a map. 2: Getting 6500 cars through small towns is hilarious. 3: Tims luck is as bad if not worse than mine...

360 stalls on deceleration from throttle blip

Depending on what compression the engine is and what camshaft is installed you could need a bit more initial timing. I would try that first, since it's free, fast and easily reversible.

Four Link Suspension, how does it work?

Since suspension setup in these drag cars we run is what I consider to be voodoo magic can someone give me a Four Link for Dummies class? I was just beginning to gain a basic understanding of the ladder bar set up on the Dart I had previous, and now I have this Arrow with a four link set up. I...

    Spark Plug Advice Needed

Lets get something clear for me. You say 16 initial and 34 all in by 3400. Then you say the vacuum can is on manifold vacuum. Now, did you set those timing figures with the vacuum hose disconnected? If not, that initial timing figure is very low, because "most" vacuum cans pull in about 20...

360 stalls on deceleration from throttle blip

Hey everyone, so I have a 1973 Duster I’m trying to work on with my son for his first car. I posted another question about the temp sensor but now have another question. This car needs a ton of work. It has a 360la motor that was installed before I got it from another unknown vehicle. I had to...

Are all 5.9 Magnum flex plates the same? 904 install issues.

...and 360 could have the same converter/ and there was no more offset hole of those 4 bolts. The face of the converter was marked (stamped) "90*" meant that all 4 bolts were equal spaced at 90* apart. Either setup will work as long as you have either all "before" or all "after" converter and...
