1967 Plymouth Barracuda - Fuel tank not vented properly??????

Was a new tank. But you are correct in that I always try to "completely" fill my tanks when I gas up. This is the first time I've EVER had this issue with any of my cars. The applicable service manuel is not Barracuda specific. It's an A-Body manual. That has consequences, in that start at...

...dark night.... My GTO & hundreds of thousands of other Pontiacs idled on the showroom floor with a tiny 197/212 @ 050 cam....& 10.7:1 CR....with 26*. The car makers need to be conservative because they do not know the end use of the car. The Edel tuning manual states to use plenty of init...

    Engine Installation

A carb plate works fine with most cast intakes. Heavily ported intake, billet stuff, etc. should use a spreader bar and hook to the ends of the heads. Can also pick up from the exhaust bolts if you have a weird intake like a cross ram.

493 hard to start when warm

Could be an internal problem where something binds up with hot. Check the rotating torque both cold and hot. If the rotating torque is the same then it is your starter.

    Torco and AFR

Does the torco contain mmt ? At 12.9:1 compression I use 1 ounce of any octane booster with mmt to 5 gallons, that is in 100LL Av gas. Your richer condition is probably caused by slower burning fuel.

    Power steering gear valve question

Thanks I purchased an o-ring kit. For the adjustment procedure Are you talking about the part that has the High Pressure line to it or the part that has the return hose attached to it. Thanks for your help, I didn’t realize that this adjustment would be required.

Carlisle Chrysler Nationals 2024 Tent Activities

Just got my entry package and looked at the map. The relative locations of the old vehicles (A, B, E, C) had been the same every year since my first visit to Carlisle in 1998, BUT NOT ANY MORE!!!. As you look at the show field from the grandstands, A bodies have shifted all the way to the...

    Problem with reproduction steel wheels

Mine are 15x7s I got them used idk what or where they came from but they have little recesses between the lugs im assuming they are to stiffen up the metal around the lug holes and to provide a "biting" surface against the drum/rotor. My original 14s did not have them. Ill dig around as see if i...

    axle bearing assy Q

ideally, you'll need a press for the bearing and retaining collar. however, i've seen it done with a long length of appropriately sized pipe.
