If you are street driving you need the progressive linkage either cable or mechanical. You will not happy with the way the car shifts (unless you like the loud pedal) after awhile. Edit= forget what I just said I see what you are doing. My buddy runs his drag car with it wired full back for...

I was able to buy a set of his lower control arms not too long ago. They look like a quality piece. It's too bad no one still makes them.

Thank you. We certainly try to put the best we can afford into our program, especially the engines.

Lol. Well Bill, I don’t have much, but I certainly spend most of my money on the race car haha. I was ruined growing up and it’s consumed me ever since

Who else ever felt this way?

I have been a fan of the Slant from 1970. A spanking brand new Dart Swinger. Many many have followed. Right now my 63 Belvedere has a LA 318 but I have everything to install a 225 if the 318 ever craps out.Recently got a 72 Dart 225 at the body shop being gone thru. I get it back in about a...

Thank you. I’m using an Indy aluminum low deck block. HP wise I would take a rough guess at somewhere between 850-890 range. My 528 did pretty well but only using Wallace calculator for HP numbers because I never put it on the Dyno. If this engine takes me into winter I’ll likely save money and...

Seldom had the Wentwoth pleasure  That arose when my homie acquired a Beezer 500 single for pocket change. One thing about that beast I remember, well 2 things  Neither one of us had enough lead in our asses to kick start it, push starts had to work  and it had about the...

pitman arm for '64 power steering dart?

I need a new pitman, and idler arm for my power steering equipped 1964 Dart. So I'm wondering if I need a different pitman arm than the one for the manual steering 64 darts? Or if maybe they're the same? Thanks for any help! -Paul

I'm sure it is a big deal. Short stroke motors can be a ***** to get good compression from.

understanding a low oil pressure 360

I don't see how the heck anyone can help him until that's found out. I know a guy who built a slant six with standard crank bearings on a .010 under crank. It actually had "decent" oil pressure until it got the least little bit of heat in it, then it didn't have "much".

    1972 Demon with 71 340 casting

I worked for mother mopar for years. It was not uncommon for the above situation to happen. Engines could be 90 to 150 days built prior to installation. Remember that 72 was when the "EVIL EMPIRE(EPA)" reared its ugly head. On another note, RRR was pretty damn close on his steel/cast crank...

I know quite a few of those pistons for this stuff had positive deck heights. To get much compression ratio out of these pigs with OEM heads you must be deck positive. I’m out .050ish on my junk and that got me a measly 12:1 although I could get more out of it if I had to. So to your point...

If the valve cover he has is for a hydraulic lifter engine and he has a solid lifter engine, then no, it won't work for him. In all these years I've never, ever seen a Mopar Performance Chrome valve cover for the hydraulic lifter slant 6. I wasn't even aware they ever made one.

Need some help on pulley sizing

Pulleys are at swap meets, saw an absolute ton of them at Stillwater 2 weeks ago. You have to know exactly what you are looking for and have a tape measure with you. Pump pulleys are different from aluminum and cast iron pumps. I have a set of single groove pulleys off a '68 318 cast iron...

Crapped if I know. I wouldn't think the seller is on the hook myself. There was no deception. It seems the seller didn't even ask if the valve cover fit his engine, he just bought it. It's not the seller's responsibility to know whether or not something he's selling will fit what the buyer has...
