Sitting here watching racing and thinking about how crazy this game has gotten

I see your time slips and wish I could kick the @$$ that you do. Also, our track is gone and my car is nowhere close to back together. I definitely understand the investment aspect, and the frustrations. I’m hopeful that your knee replacements, and maybe a couple more W’s, will make this fun for...

Just Weighed My Barracuda Notchback For The First Time

Good info, and I really dig the painted valve covers and MSD to match!!!

Freak hit and run today !

Very sorry to see that, but am glad no people, especially you, were hurt…I’ve seen some pretty terrible CCTV footage of people getting hit by a runaway like that. Hope you can get shined up again!

Hopefully 2025 race season will be less painful

Heck ya! Get some money for surgery and recovery!!! My best to you, on the racing, and the surgeries!!!

Contest time! Guess the ET and MPH to win!

Crap, missed it! Throwing a guess just for fun (unofficial entry): Lift/whomp to a 10.64 at 125

I need to improve my 60' time.

You want separation in the rear with leaf springs (not squat), with the front coming up. My car has 3-way adjustable as well. Cal-tracs help quite a bit by moving you up the anti-squat line to induce separation, and of course control spring distortion. This also pushes the tire down against the...

Getting a little windy in Pa.

Yikes! Hope the you and cats stay safe out there!

Here you go, Piston area and force.

You’re right, I did my math wrong. What I was actually meaning to show (and goofed up) was percentage difference: What I showed was percentage decrease, which is the wrong direction as the thread started with small to big: Your percentage increase, which as you noted, matters how it is...

Here you go, Piston area and force.

    The 36% increase from @71340 is correct: (19.63-12.56)/19.63 = 0.36 12.56/(1-.36) = 19.63 Let’s say that the tunes were matched somehow in the two different bores and everything else remained unchanged: 1,000 lbs/si * 19.63 si = 19,630 lbs force 1,000 lbs/si * 12.56 si = 12,560 lbs force This...

Gen 3 block weights for those interested

Gotta max out the bores…for weight savings of course:p I googled to get a frame of reference. The info I found showed a bare 360 block at 155-160lbs.

Adjustable strut rods and other parts

Curious why you want thick t-bars for a drag car? I know you have a pretty good setup, so actually want to know your line of thinking or maybe what new info there is out there that I haven’t seen (not trying to start an argument or pretend I know more). Also, have you looked into delrin...

2 similar A-bodies...which would YOU build and why?

Second the vote for moving the drivetrain and brakes to the 71…my opinion is simply based on my dislike of the beak front on the 73+ cars…maybe transplant the front from the 71 to the 75 and part out the rest?

    Prayers For John Force

I like to think that the look of anguish on his face at the end was more because he won that round and isn’t going to the next…but I’m hopeful that he recovers quickly:(

I hear ya! I’ve been back and forth in the DC area and was going to stay the weekend and drive down to watch the big boys & girls in Richmond but figured I’d better get home and try my best to stay married. You made the (less fun) right choice

How old are you and how long have you raced

Fortunately, mine is rebuildable (no new car bought). I might be biased, but I think it was beautiful too: Wrecked photo: Current state of affairs, slow and steady can win bracket races at least (going to cut the bubble down, but want it to clear the dual TBs…not everyone will like the...

How old are you and how long have you raced

41, started racing in 2018 (low 13’s), got a track championship in 2019 (low 12’s), wrecked the car in 2022 (11.5’s…found the limit of the KB hyper pistons I guess), raced the tow rig in 2023, same year Bandimere shut down. Car is on a long road to rebuild, still chomping at the bit to get it...
