Yep. I had the pushrod holes drilled out, still very close at the bottom, but I can slip a piece of paper between the rod and hole.

Just saw a story. LA built a new modern bridge. Very modern lighting. 600 ft bridge. 4 lane. We'll some freaking thieves stole all the wiring and lights off it. For real. Stripped it clean Unreal

How old are you and how long have you raced

34 years old, made my first pass ever in my Scamp when I was 21...Did a short stint of race promoting for a few years trying to get grudge and no time racing off the ground here North of the Border, and the politics of it drove me to almost give up the sport for myself. Last pass down a track I...

CNC Mill Mark Removal in Intake Port

I get it's critical, but beyond something being severely off, my point/question is the average well tuned engine out there leaving a lot of easiably gain power just laying in wait? Like how well is the average performance engine handling fuel atomization.

My Gear Vendors Install Thread - '67 Barracuda Notchback 340/416 Stroker

Hello! I 'm just beginning the install of a Gear Vendors Overdrive in my '67 Barracuda and figured I'd start a thread with as many details as I can post along the way. I started by reading through the install notes a couple of times so I could make a plan of attack and "hopefully" avoid too...

    1960 Valiant Restore: advice welcomed.

So, I gently nursed her 25 miles back to the shop. Within 15 minutes the temp gauge pegged, but soon after slowly dropped to the intermediate, operable, range. When getting off the highway, the gauge started to peg again, but then reversed course and slowly eased back to the intermediate range...

How old are you and how long have you raced

67 years old and started drag racing at 15. Raced 8 years and then got married. 18 year hiatus and after divorce got right back at it. Raced till 2017 and health issued took me away from it till now. Might get back at it when I'm in my mid 70's if still alive. Who knows ??

yeah, i was thinking you would basically have to suck the valve almost into the head.. I am not getting why he is talking bout sunk valves costing that much power

Holley power valve kit? Does it still exsist?

It was never a backfire issue. Ever. When Colt took over Holley they stopped keeping up with the tooling and **** like that and they started failing. Of course, the aftermarket decided it was backfiring that was causing the failures and they sold thousands of of those power valve blow out...

It depends on what you call sinking a valve. To drop 30 hp you’d have to sink it a mile.

How old are you and how long have you raced

I'm 63 and have been racing for 12 years. Used to race on the streets a lot when I was a teenager. My older brother and I raced his Javelin at a track just outside the Army post I was stationed at for about a year or so, then college, job, responsibility. I retired 12 years ago and went with...

Quick question bout the sunken valves thing.... is it just a matter of higher CC in the chamber or another issue if they are slightly sunk.. i can't see 2-3CC that a sunk valve would cause being a lost of 30+hp/tq but i am no expert.. that's why i'm asking :)
