    Semantics. What sort of "dual quads"? Vacuum secondaries? Quite plausible, especially if they are flowing 500 cfm, give or take. Even the smallie 'Vettes had dual quads. A VS 2X4 setup that never opens the secondaries is probably not flowing much more than 600 cfm...ever. Even the Six Pack...

    Yes, but... Both the Six Pack and TQ used vacuum operated secondaries (in the case of the TQ, the air valve was vacuum operated) So the engine doesn't flow more cfm than needed at any particular RPM range. The DP Holleys use mechanical secondaries so "over-carbing" can become a very real issue.

    I see Summit is now offering Holley carbs in the standard zinc dichromate finish, and also now in polished aluminum, which appears to be cheaper. Any reason why the aluminum should be avoided or discouraged over the standard Holley carbs?

    You are correct, sir. The air cleaner is north of 750 not including the top which is another 125. The linkage kit is also around 700. What this means is you could very easily wrap up 3000 bucks. I'm thinking 2 x 4 might be way cheaper in the long run...especially since I have a brand new Eddy...

    If you look carefully, the center carb only is available and for AT only. I will be running an A-833 4 speed. I've been told the BB outboard carbs can be rejetted to work with the inboard carb but that could be "fake news".

    So you are saying this will work then, RPM Air Gap w/ TQ, open plenum spacer with no gasket centerpiece under the baseplate...? (choke issues notwithstanding) Doesn't the divider look like it might cause some turbulence issues?

    ...I grabbed the old gasket to check my theory... I think I see daylight... Yep. I do see daylight... ...with no 'fudge factor' on the gasket at all. That leaves two options. 1) Run the Holley 2) Use the adapter plate and run open plenum *****OR***** Run the TQ on the cast iron stocker.
