if you do not have the PIE top end kit yet, I would recommend you read up on them. Some have had decent luck with them but some have said some very bad things about them. I have never dealt with them but I have heard of them in the Dakota RT community.

i used the painless, the steering column wiring schematic was the hardest part of getting it right. I wound up getting and I didit column during the wiring process and that made it a lot easier... the only reason why I did the I didit column was mine was one of the model cars they used to...

I had one like that at one time. I had to trim the bottom of the L portion that bolts to the head off. The parts that stick out was crashing into the fire wall. It also can be a tight fit if you are putting the bolts on the back of the heads.

With the chineese intakes its a 50 /50 chance you have of getting them to seal. From what I have seen most tend to go with the Eddie on for the magnum carb motors.

Subcom, are you using timing control on the Fitech or just using it for fuel?

I was able to find it here at a store called performance tool. I think the socket is a grey pneumatic socket. I was lucky cause they sold me only one socket out of the set.

I used the 12 points as clearance around some of the springs can be tricky with the 6 points. I was lucky to find a 12 point 9/16" long socket that is necked down to make it easier to fit.

if you go legendary, go to one of the shows where they are at, normally they will have a show discount of maybe 25% or so.

if you want to use a mechanical fuel pump, then you can change the timing cover over to a LA style cover and bolt on a cam snout extension like the one Hughes sells. Though this will mean that you will also loose the serpentine set up on the Magnum engine.

moparblood, The painless was not too bad actually. I took my time and went slow. I think when all was said and done I had 2 wires flipped around and they were for lights...so really it was nothing bad. I think I had about 20 hours or so into the wiring.
