    Carpeting for 69 Barracuda Fastback

Would mass backing replace sound deadener, or is it still recommended to get it?

    Carpeting for 69 Barracuda Fastback

God, I would love to. That would make everything much easier but the fender tag, along with the inner fenders, rotted out a long time ago and whatever was left was replaced with new fenders. Losing that bad boy still irks me today.

    Carpeting for 69 Barracuda Fastback

Wow, thanks for all the responses everyone. This is some good feedback. So what I gather the carpet is pretty much made by one manufacturer and resold by different stores, Year One and Legendary included. I'm in Canada so I'd have to get it shipped (I can ship it to a depot close to the...

    Carpeting for 69 Barracuda Fastback

Okay, it's time to replace the old carpet in my 69 and I'd like some feedback. The old carpet was torn out in the 90's by my grandpa and uncle and replaced with a couple rolls of green loop from a store somewhere. It's serviced me until now but I need to get a proper replacement; everytime I...

[WANTED] 69 Barracuda Bumper Jack INNER spring

Hello everyone. Haven't posted for a while but with a better job comes opportunity to get some parts I've been needing. I thought I'd start with one little piece, the INNER spring to my bumper jack for my 69 Barracuda. Not the hold-down spring but the inner mechanism that actually makes the...

    Car coughing, new fuel pump?

Yeah it's always within the first few minutes and whenever I accelerate past say 20-30 mph. It usually happens once or twice then doesn't do it until the car is parked for a while. It's a practically brand new carburator so I didn't think it would be either of those but I check that and see if...

    Car coughing, new fuel pump?

For the last few years, my 69 Cuda's been coughing a little. It only happens in the first few minutes of driving; when I'm accelerating, the 340 small block will "hiccup" and lose power for a fraction of a second. Usually it's one cough and after that, she runs fine. Yesterday, it happened...

    1969 Barracuda parts

Okay, since I can't edit my original post for some weird, inexplicable reason, I'll keep making new posts to update the thread. Thanks to a member on the boards, I've found the back-up light housings. Still looking for the 4 screws and the locking spring for my bumper jack.

    1969 Barracuda parts

Since I got a good response from my earlier post, I thought I might as well try for some new parts I need. Today, when I tried to simply replace what I thought was a burned out back-up bulb, I got a handful of rust. The back-up light bezels aren't in bad shape (but when I do replace them...

    69 Barracuda Manual Steering Box

My mechanic sourced one out for me quicker than expected. Thanks to everyone who PM'ed me or responded to this thread. I'll wait and see what condition it's in, but it can't be any worse than the old 40+ already in place. Thanks a lot!

    69 Barracuda Manual Steering Box

My cuda's in the shop and the steering box is shot so we're on the lookout for a replacement as we all think it's unable to be rebuilt. My mechanics are on the lookout, putting out feelers for a new or rebuilt box, but I thought I might as well try here as well in case they can't find anything...

    Cigarette lighter removal

I'm trying to remove the instrument cluster on my 69 Barracuda but I'm stuck on the cigarette lighter. I can't get it out without damaging anything as I don't know how it's supposed to be removed properly. I can barely get my hand in under the dash and between all the wires (this damn car...

    New Carb problems

I joined this forum to get some advice on a new carburetor I got last year. I own a '69 cuda fastback, with a 340 small block automatic. After almost 40 years, the old carburetor was sputtering and choking and needing either a complete rebuild or a replacement. I went with the replacement as...
