Hey guys, my son wants me to try and sell his car. This is a parts car only, 92 daytona. Kinda rare wine colored interior. Good glass all around. Has a moon roof that didn't leak. Missing engine and transaxle, will take 250.00 or OBO. Car took a hit on drivers side. Located in central Minnesota.

dartman, I'd take the crank and rods to a competent machine shop, have the rod cap and beams matched up and rebuilt if needed. have the cranked miked and make sure its good, polish or regrind if you have to. Get set up with the correct brgs and reassemble the engine. Bruce

Its all about power to weight. Heck put the whole car on a diet.

Yep, should be a mechanical water temp gauge as well as a temp light in your cluster by the looks of that 1st picture.

I think you'll spend about a grand for the work you listed. Your not doing anything with the heads or having the shop doing any assembly. The only thing I didn't see was rod and piston work.

Pete what color is your interior? And will early70 seat belts work?

mel there are a lot of things you have to watch for here if you don't want to be doing two or three times all the info so far is correct. how bout going with a 585 lift came and change your rocker ratio. you;ll want .100 on the piston to valve ..60 on the springs and at the retainer to guide...

All good advise. How much fuel did you have in your tanks at launch. Mine runs out @ 1l2 tank (stock tank) when you can see the trap. If you add nos like I did you'll want either a dedicated electric or a large elect with a fuel log and regulators. Don't forget the fuel pressure kick out switch...

eric, couldn't find a listing for 2bl holley for your car. Can we get a carb # of it to help ID this. was this car running with the carb you have. What you decribed sounded like an emullsion tube. They are usually brass and are suppose to be pressed into the upper half of the carb. anyway 150.00...
