    Hemi grocery list

I'm sure there a many folks out there that have successively made the swap over to a 5.7 or 6.1 in their A-body. Is there anyone of you special people that can provide a grocery list of items to make it happen in my A-body? Surely there is someone humble and gracious enough to share their...

Thanks for all the comments! My bubble has been busted......I was really hoping to build a 5.7, quiet, grocery gitter, sleeper, without all the thumpity thump of the 383. I want to drive the car a lot and feel like the 5.7 would be smoother and get better fuel economy, especially in front of an...

He said that pressing the sleeve in will distort the cylinders. I have seen in some articles that the sleeve should be super cooled before installing. He stated that he just presses his in with no cooling.

    Personalized Tag?

Agreed, but a 74 swinger ain't the coolest. Most folks don't like the beak or the tail. I'm big blockin it, puttin quiet muffins on it and slammin it to the ground to keep it a sleeper, so people might just laugh at it. So "BB DAISY" or "LAF-AT-IT" might just fit. But then again they may laugh...

Oil pan help!! Spoke with Mike @ Schumacher

I believe Mike said it did have baffles, but he talked like they were not that great. The 971 was a stock pan for B-body big blocks, so I would assume it would hold the same amount as stock.

Oil pan help!! Spoke with Mike @ Schumacher

Spoke with Mike @ Schumacher yesterday. He said 187, 699 & 971 were the pans to use. He said 187 & 699 were no longer available as new, but that the 971 pan is. They have the 971 in stock for $185.00 with pick up tube. My question is this: Does anyone know the OEM part number for the 971? I want...

:notworth: :thumblef: Thanks for the info!! Hey Demon, it's a /6. Using Shumak's and /6 K-mem. It's a 74', so all the suspension and steering linkage are the same as a 318 car. So, which pan would be best? How would I use these numbers(187 & 699) to obtain a pan. What do they mean? Are there...

    Shackle Angle

:banghead: :finga: based on the link that "Ace" posted, 90*degrees is a goood starting point. Quote from article:A good starting point for shackle angle is 90 degrees. In this position the shackle has no effect on spring rate. Keep in mind that the shackle angle changes (and consequently the...

    Shackle Angle

This is a follow up to a recent post "Problem With Relocated Rear Springs". Went by the local Dodge Dealer and spoke to a few friends I have there. They seem to believe there is a problem with my shackle angle. My Shackles are almost totally verticle(no angle). Shouldn't my upper shackle tube...

    Problem With Relocated Rear Springs.

My shackles are very close to vertical. Have checked for any marks that would indicate spring eye hitting frame. Springs are stronger than the ones I removed. They are stock five leafs off of a four door smallblock car. The original ones I removed were 4 leaf because my car is a two door /6. I...

Well not sure, but I compressed them fully and marked them with a sharpy marker before I reattached them. They showed to still have 3+ inches of travel after being reattached. I'm still quessing!

    Problem With Relocated Rear Springs.

Relocated my springs last weekend. All went well, but now when I drive over a hard bump in the road such as a split in the pavement or a pothole, there is a hard slam in the rear. Suspension travel is fine when I push the car up and down. I have to bounce it pretty hard to make the pinion...

    Dodge Dart Wiring Diagram

You gotta order from this place, but there really nice diagrams and they are heavy laminated. I know you can get them in 8 1/2 x 11 size and if you pay a little more you can get them in 11 X 17 size. They clean up really well and are very durable. They are also printed on both sides...
